cms206
Afternoon chaps. My now retired ex-gaffer has ten Rovers. He is now finding this excessive and two of his trio of Nightfire 400 Tourers are for disposal. One is very much a project but the other is MOT'd. So... 1) Project. 1997 K-series 416i Tourer, 249k miles. Starts, drives, stops. MOT expired. Was in daily use until March. Bodywork is very rough but mechanically it's absolutely bob-on. Head gasket done at 191k. He has owned it since it was about 18 months old and can come with doors, tailgate, two rear quarter panels and loads of other bits and pieces. Pics below... cms206
2) 1997 K-series 416i Tourer. 129k on the clock, test 4/17. Bit of lacquer peel but sound. Cambelt, waterpump and new head in April '16. He doesn't know what they're worth but may be open to offers. I can put people in contact who may be interested. KruJoe
Oof.Nightfire AND Tourer. Lovely. But the R3 dash in these later ones is pants, isn't it? Cleon-Fonte, cms206 and holbeck

cms206
But the R3 dash in these later ones is pants, isn't it? It certainly is; the third one he has also Nightfire but is a year newer and he's just finished converting it from K-series/manual to Honda/automatic; as part of that conversion he's fitted it with the full black half leather interior from the 216SEi spares donor complete with the earlier dash. eddyramrod, HillmanImp, chaseracer and 1 other
Eddie Honda
Well the first one, even being charitable, can be best described as follows:
Wilko220
Would be well interested in the second one, as I'm on the active lookout for an estate smoker at the moment and I'm a big fan of these. Sadly, not sure I can justify the 800 mile round trip, or whatever it would be, to Scotland and back! scruff
Brodders
It is bloody odd to look at an R8 and see an R3 interior, but I reckon it would grow on me. cms206

Cleon-Fonte
Part of me wants to see someone take on the first one, fix it up and do another 100,000 miles in it, just to piss on the chips of all those pub bores who go on about how shit old Rovers were and how they're not capable of high mileages. Also refreshing to see an advert for an R8 without the words 'HONDA ENGINE' plastered all over it. oldcars, Dick Longbridge, Wilko220 and 1 other
