I also got the invitation letter, however, it's 5,000 mile away atm. I won't be near it for at least another two weeks,

So I'd appreciate if you could sort it this year, Cavcraft.

However, I'm herewith starting the entry list.

Going to Chodmolestly 2016 are:

1. Junkman

2. Conrad D. Conelrad

It's probably about two hours from Halifax! But well worth it. I've been annually since Samaratat's epic debut, whatever year that was.

Are we going again this year?

We had a thread on the go a couple months back (Billy's?) in which we did decide to go for the September one again.

Therefore...

1. Junkman
2. Conrad D. Conelrad
3. Brownnova
4. Sporty-shite
5. Skizzer
6. Nev - possibly
7. Outlaw118
GR8.  WorldofCeri
9. Richard
10. HillmanImp
11. 320touring

12. KruJoe + Camping* night before if that's happening again

13. FFSake

I think that was my first Chumley as well Joe.

Was that the year Billy was dressed as a clown (literally) ... BIlly why were you dressed as a clown? I'm sure there is photographic evidence somewhere ;)

:-D  As long as that's ok with you boss, I think I've only missed one, maybe two years, of not organising it!

Before we get too carried away with the list, we also need to know who's camping at The Shady Oak, so please say next to your username whether you want to or not. I have a feeling there's only something like 12 tent spaces, but not entirely sure, hopefully those who camped last year will remember. There are caravan and motorhome spaces too by the way. I've messaged the pub and am waiting for a response so will post up again (much) later when they've replied. Please bear (bare?) with me as today/next week is about the worse time for me to try and organise things, but I will certainly be trying. If I can, I'll try and organise hiring a canal boat the day before as there's a good pub (that also does meals) to go and get pissed at if people fancy it. Alternatively take a few cans/bottles aboard and we'll have a water based jolly for a few hours, assuming people are interested?

Boat hire is £160 for the day, holds ten, so £16 each.

13. FFSake

14. Skattrd

15) Cavcraft, boating and possibly camping.

There was certainly room for a lot more than 15 tents, but that might be all they are licensed for. Boating might be fun as long as it's not too £££, but the pub/beer garden on the site was fine.

It didn't happen last year because I wasn't fit enough.  This year, and on the wave of having done Inverness for Christmas, I'm feeling up to a south-coast trip again.  This of course means there will be the usual Shiters' lunch meet at the burger van on Portsdown Hill, most likely on Wednesday May 13th.  I'll be in the wheelchair bus, sorry; MrsR has vetoed taking Hairy Pussy even before I've got it home.
We will also be stopping each way at a Travelodge or Premier Inn somewhere in the Midlands, so there might be an opportunity for a Midlands Massiv Meet too.  Or even two of them!  It worked well enough at Cumbernauld!

As mentioned in the Shitesteddfod Thread  the North Wales Classic Car & Motorcycle Show takes place at Bodrhyddan Hall (Clwyd LL18 5SB) on Sunday, 5th September, 10.00am - 4.00pm. This might be an alternative to Chumley and a good chance for some of us to get together. Details here
You don't have to pre-book but if we want to park together as a club we'd need to let them know numbers in advance. From the website:
"Please note, clubs that are wanting to be situated together at the venues and total more than 5 vehicles, we are asking for you to pre book to ensure we have the right space allocation.
As a club you are still eligible to pay on the day we just need to know numbers for the allocation of space.
The ON THE DAY PRICE will be £5.00 PER CLASSIC VEHICLE.
Customer MUST be in a classic vehicle for the special on the day price to be honoured.
Classic Vehicle - classic car (aged 2007 / pre-2007) or a car in one of the following themes: American / kit / custom / replica car"
so our shite should qualify. I'm happy to take on getting us in as a club so please let me know if you're interested in coming and I'll sort it. We'd need a club name, how about Clwb Ceir Cachu?

      ***************************************************

Righto, shite fans of Norn Iron,

A suggestion has been put forth that a mini-meet of sorts could be arranged for those of us perched atop this enchanted rock, to strengthen bonds and ogle at terrible, terrible cars about to be inflicted on some other poor bugger.

Venue is: Ballyclare Car Auctions, Dennison Industrial Estate, Ballyclare BT39 9EB

      http://ballyclarecarauction.co.uk/

Date is: Wednesday 8th August 2018, from 7pm onward

      http://autoshite.com/calendar/event/52-northern-ireland-mini-meet-ballyclare-auctions/

Deep-fried items of varying degrees of danger are, apparently, available onsite for those who wish to test the strength of their stomach and other major organs.

So pop along, in whatever vehicle you fancy, for a bit of craic and to participate in the ever-popular Crispiest Wheelarch Spotting Competition.

I'll be there, I believe The_Equalizer will be there, and a few other expressions of interest have been indicated from local shiters.

I may even be wearing my newly-arrived Autoshite t-shirt (courtesy of FilthyJohn) to aid recognition.

Drop a line below if you reckon you fancy coming along!

      Dat.

I've not been before but apparently it's a bigun.
If I go I'm happy to look out for unobtainium frogchod bits.
