trigger Posted April 24, 2016 Share Posted April 24, 2016 As it was Drive it day today me and a couple of friends from the car club i run decided to head up to the 6 fingered nation that is Norfolk to visit a car meets up there at the Bears Grill in Lenwade, It's the first time I've visited this event as it's over 50 miles away and takes nearly a hour and half to get there but I'm glad i done it. I wimped out a bit as the weather was shite so i took the Audi for it's first proper run, Me, my mate Carl in his Orion and Oldford in his Cortina made up the rather lacking convey up (there was meant to be more but the weather put pay to that). The site itself is an old disused concrete factory with a couple of more disused building around so it's perfect for photo opportunities, plus they do a mean lamb and mint burger!. There was one hell of a mix of cars!. The detail on the Mercury was amazing, even the rear window folded down although it got a bit wet inside, i loved the badging inside the C posts. You don't seen a Amazon estate for years then two turn up at once. V12 powered. The Cavalier was a bit of a odd ball, Ascona rear lights too. trigger Posted April 24, 2016 Author Share Posted April 24, 2016 Then Dave Wuvvum turned up in his CX, it also meant to got to pop my CX cherry, It's a lovely ride, The lack of clutch travel took some getting use to but it's so comfortable, and massive! The owner of the Bluebird seemed a nice chap so I'm sure he would have loved to have some photos with yours, it's such a good venue for photos as you can see. Is it a Norfolk thing or is there any connection with the US air bases that used to be in that part of the world.
