Norfolk car meet in aid of Drive it day photos

As it was Drive it day today me and a couple of friends from the car club i run decided to head up to the 6 fingered nation that is Norfolk to visit a car meets up there at the Bears Grill in Lenwade, It's the first time I've visited this event as it's over 50 miles away and takes nearly a hour and half to get there but I'm glad i done it.

I wimped out a bit as the weather was shite so i took the Audi for it's first proper run, Me, my mate Carl in his Orion and Oldford in his Cortina made up the rather lacking convey up (there was meant to be more but the weather put pay to that).

The site itself is an old disused concrete factory with a couple of more disused building around so it's perfect for photo opportunities, plus they do a mean lamb and mint burger!.

There was one hell of a mix of cars!.

The detail on the Mercury was amazing, even the rear window folded down although it got a bit wet inside, i loved the badging inside the C posts.

Then Dave Wuvvum turned up in his CX, it also meant to got to pop my CX cherry, It's a lovely ride, The lack of clutch travel took some getting use to but it's so comfortable, and massive!

Gah! There was me busy doing yet more work on the house all day - that looks like it would have been an ideal run out for the E-reg Sunny (I'd have taken great pains to get a shot of it next to the Bluebird).

I didn't even think about telling you about it SL, Sorry, i only decided to go late last night myself though and posted about it on the Drive it day thread where Dave saw it.

The owner of the Bluebird seemed a nice chap so I'm sure he would have loved to have some photos with yours, it's such a good venue for photos as you can see.

Great set of photos Trig :) There seemed to have been more yank stuff there than I see in a year. Is it a Norfolk thing or is there any connection with the US air bases that used to be in that part of the world. If I was to take anything home it would be the '54 Bel Air; I think that period was the high point in American car design.

Probably that one then. I can't believe I didn't see that it was a mark 5, I was probably in shock after seeing so many Cortina's driving at the same time.

You're right, I really should have got there earlier - looks like there was some impressive tin which had already buggered off by the time I turned up. :-(

It was your car which made me want to follow and have a closer look !
