Rocket88
..........a 1971 BMW 2002 touring, in tidy condition, for £700, As my Rover 75 is suffering ecu trauma, I can't really afford it, but it is in tidy conditionand I'm tempted, but I've no idea what these things are like to drive [i'll find out Tuesday] or what I should look for. Any experts out there?
dollywobbler
Rot's an issue but they apparently drive quite nicely. Steering box I think, so could have some play to it. Engines are tough.
pogweasel
Rot, rot and MOAR ROT!!!!Oh and apparently if any 'touring specific' bits are missing - good luck. Mechanical condition fairly unimportant as you should find interchangablilty with later BMW's.
Torsten2001
Apparently they don't like to tow anything so watch out if there's a tow bar!
shite_meister
Having come close to buying this car many times before (but put off due various issues with the car) I can confirm that it does have a tow bar As mentioned on the phone Colin-have a good look, I seem to remember the A-pillars are festering away quite nicely. Looks nice but poor paint prep means its bubbling away like Johnny Fartpants in a Jaccuzi.
