pompei
Another complaint, grrr I put some cds on last week. Got a buyer for one at 99p, she paid up with Paypal, then less than 2 days after the end of auction she rings up on the ex directory home number demanding to know where her cd is. Listing says will post within 3 working days. Mrs P took the call and gave her some gob back, but didn't ask where she got our number from. Then I get an "automated email" from E B'strds about contact and implying they gave her the number. Then this para on the end ... eBay has strict policies relating to members' contact information. More information on these policies and reporting breaches can be found at the following address: http://www.ebay.co.uk/help/policies/identity-ov.html If you feel your telephone number is being used for harassment, contact your phone company to report the situation. If you receive calls that threaten your property or personal safety, you may also report the incident to your local law enforcement agency. Not that f***g strict So it looks as though any aggrieved fuckwit can ring you up courtesy of these wankers and their response is contact the phone company . It's all tilted so far in favour of the buyer it makes my bile boil
Guest greenvanman
Just when you think eBay couldn't get any worse... so now they're handing out sellers' ex-dir phone numbers? FFS.

AXrescuer
Update your eBay contact details with a mobile number that you don't use very often, that's what I've done.
Richard
I can't see that it's acceptable to give out personal details to a third party. Aren't eBay supposed to deal with disputes themselves?I think you might have a case against eBay, though I don't know who you would report them to. shite_meister
Bought a badge to replace the one that some theiving pikey retard stole off the car, the seller who by the sound of his piss-poor broken english is Russian/Ukranian kept coming out with a load of crap about my address. After umpteen e-mails he then issues me with a refund THEN reports me to ebay who issue me with an unpaid strike !!!!!!!! WTF???? how the fuck does that work? The appeal system is a load of wank and as Lycos have closed I can't access the info that ebay require even though if they just look in my account they can see. r.welfare
Don't worry too much, you can have three of those Unpaid Strikes before eBay do anything with your account, and they disappear after a while anyway. I got one years ago from some thieving Northern pikey who claimed the Postal Orders I sent (Recorded!) in payment, as demanded, weren't received... Station
I had some muppet onto me because the missus refused to buy a 6inch -print out- of some artwork. The ebay ad said it was a full size original but we were told it was in fact a shitty print out that was only worth the price of a piece of A4 (not the 30 quid). God knows where she got our number from. I told her to f*ck off and never phone again any way.
