richbraith
My old manor is a resting place for Land Rovers of all ages it seems...it's always been so. Quite shocker to see local giffer piloted Defender has now bitten the dust...isn't that practically a new one? adw1977
Next to a footpath in Mickleham Downs near Box Hill, Surrey. I have no idea how they got up there but the older one is quite a well known local landmark and has apparently been there for many years. goosey, Dick Longbridge and bunglebus

AnthonyG
I think the back one is a Subaru, perhaps a very aptly named ‘Forester’? Front one - my guess is a two door early 1990s thing like a Shogun/Pajero or Frontera.

A 2004/5 example is unlikely to be ‘dead’ in Defender terms, even with a stuffed TDi or rotted chassis it’s still worth a few grand. Suspect it will get back on the road. The others….less so. No cart springs, so a Fronterror it ain't. Looking at the wheels, I'd go with Shogun. Whatever it was, it is VERY DEAD!

bunglebus
I can't quite believe my eyes. This is in Ernest Street in the centre of Birmingham Other than the front number plate and the bits that have dropped off, it's complete, interior was in good shape and the running gear appears to be there. Who the hell has dumped this in 2022? D.E, Lord Sterling, Dick Longbridge and 10 others 9 1

Who the hell has dumped this in 2022? What a find! Last on the road in 1996. Barmy how someone would dump it rather than sell for spares, which it clearly has plenty of. Will it survive the night? I think it might have been there a while - hard to tell with all the rust falling off anyway. Someone really needs to grab it as a spares car I think. morrisoxide
Not dumped technically, it's on someones drive. It's been there years now. The owners seem to get a luxo barge every once in a while, drive it a bit then park it. LT84, adw1977 and Lord Sterling 2

The old building looks exactly the sort of place to have old cars hidden away inside! It’s probably been dragged out for a scrapyard to collect, or maybe the site owners are trying to establish ownership. Either way, I’m sure its days are numbered. There’s a great source of spares there. @captain_70s @SiC @purplebargeken SiC and bunglebus

Missy Charm
Very strangely someone appears to have abandoned an electric VW ID thingy near ours. It's almost brand new and has been there for months, parked in a position significantly remote from any sort of electricity supply. I do wonder if the two things are linked... goosey
As I was taking pics the lad I spoke to just happened to be walking past, he lives up the road and is not the owner. He saw the guys from the garage move the triumph and some other cars out the garage at the top of the street last week he was also quite surprised it was still there and in one piece bunglebus and Dick Longbridge
