This has appeared in the street outside work. It has been in a shed somewhere for a long time but a check on the plate shows it passed a test in 2015.

A 1972 local built car.

No idea where South W is but assume from the reg you are in New Zealand?

I'll have to see which part you are on as there is a Maxi in the same colour that I'd like to know more about. ;)

Edit: that's a shame as it looks as if you are on the North Island and I think the Maxi is on the South. :(

I decided to go for a walk to the other side of Bonnybridge last night instead of my usual run up to the hills and away from it.

I see now why I normally choose the latter, it is a crucially dysfunctional shithole, full of rotten estates interspersed with huge drug dealer houses.

Never again.

However, it's where chod goes to die.

I had to zoom in on this one. Ancient Leyland Freighter, long, long dead. This looks to have been here for decades, with a Scania 2 series for company

IMG_20200721_183252.thumb.jpg.429232191d2ea65c573c864874c4f183.jpg

Another Leyland, this time an 8 legged Constructor.

Scammell Trunker. This has been here for decades as well.

IMG_20200721_183508.thumb.jpg.f3d838ccce37806ccfb0151171e58776.jpg

Sierra next to it another half a one was nearby.

IMG_20200721_183511.thumb.jpg.82da66571de8613e16a1f2c4ccf0b2ec.jpg

On the road outside, a slightly more spruce pair.

And back down the road was this:

What I photographed doesn't even scratch the surface but I had to remain semi-covert due to the highly dodgy area no doubt full of paranoid people with a lot to hide.

I'm glad I live in the nice* part of town, all things considered.

I know of the guys that own the scammell and its yard, stock car builders and racers. The dad does some of our tame mechanic's welding. They are pretty sound

This has been left outside my house for the last 2 months, and is fast approaching mot expiry, slightly miffed as parking is a bit of a problem now and again on our road and some neighbours thought it was mine! 20200823_202410.thumb.jpg.0a799d3a67005ea29518c25d14b1ab71.jpg

Still there! I should have pushed it into the road with Truckasaurus.

Found this unhappy threesome down a side road. Seems they've all been abandoned in a carpark in quick succession...

Polo bas been on SORN since 2018 with only 35,000 miles but it's a bit brown underneath. I can't imagine the grass has helped much.

The Bongo Friendee is also SORNed after losing 196,643 miles between tests!

The 45 is a diesel with Boris MoT(!) but is also on SORN.

Datsun 120Y in Redruth. This has been sat in this state for years and is getting more Superlegerra by the day.

Bloody hell. That must have been well stored for the majority of its life to have lasted this long. Shame about the current storage arrangements.

Near Ellesmere Port on Sunday. Didn't look stolen (ignition not tampered with) so possibly just dumped or been used by a double hair cutted 'conifer specialist' and broke down. Messaged the company on the door, no response.

Did they call in the Royal Engineers to build a bridge to get from the car to the curb? FFS.

I'm no mini expert but with the red door mirrors it looks like it could be a John Cooper works edition which was quite a lot more than a standard mini Cooper when new

Or it's had it's original mirrors twatted off during a 'nothing ventured, nothing gained'  escapade and the red ones were the only ones available from the scrappy. This may have happened just before it went terminal.
