No joy from the Hungarian car licensing authorities?
Jerzy Woking
No idea. I see if I can get more details over the weekend. Apart from the flat front tyre and the thick coating of dust, it looks to be in very good condition, no oil stains under it, and would clean up a treat. This is by Selly Park near the old Pebble Mill BBC studios. I'd be interested to know exactly where the other one is on Birmingham New Road. I can always detour up that area for a snap or two of it. Tubbo
Went out for a lovely meal in deepest darkest Devon last night for our anniversary. When driving home I shouted at my missus to pull over when we were driving through a village as I spotted a Granada on a garage forecourt. I spent about half an hour walking around this garage pissed as a fart looking at various autoshite while my missus was shouting at me saying she was going to drive off without me if I don’t get back in the car. I am not sure if this garage was abandoned as most of the cars had not seen an mot in years and the Granada estate had serious laquer peel and was sat at the front of the forecourt. As they are a rebodied Micra 1.0 auto, they ought to be quite straightforward. I'd have thought. BigMac
3VOM
Straightforward-ish but it will be all the welding it potentially needs. Think chassis rails, floor, sills, lower wings all round, Then brake pipes and the roof mechanism.

They don't seem to have received any meaningful rust protection either by Nissan(or whoever the build was subbed to) or by the importer, as they all seem to rust like fuck when brought to the salty isle of the UK. PiperCub
Yes, I get that, the state of the thing now is pretty bad and probably not worth the effort but I looked it up and it's been off the road for about ten years, that's why I was questioning why nothing had been done in the earlier days given it's quite a simple car and have always been rare/worth money. Suppose it's another one of those "I'm going to get around to fixing it up soon"-type projects that's just not happened for whatever reason(s). FWIW - they are popular around here, quite a number of very smart-looking examples knocking about.

Enqs showed it had no owner. Car recovered. #T2TacOps. #HO75. I assume it had been sold in trade, log book sent off on the yellow slip and maybe passed on to another owner. Broke down on way to a new home and got carted away in the meantime. If the new owner had trade insurance and hadn't put it on the MiD it would be virtually untraceable. Hence 'ownerless'. So not actually ownerless but not registered to anybody so unable to send any fines to anyone. I would like to see how this tale ended. I would like to think the owner paid the recovery fee and got it back.

Mrs Sloth
Languishing on a drive unloved and collecting flyers from companies offering to scrap it. Complete with HubNut sticker. In the spring I warned Mr Sloth that if he hadn't done something with it by the end of the year I'd put it on here. I'm not sure that it counts as naming and shaming. He's more disappointed that he hasn't had the time to tinker. Split_Pin, timolloyd, Angrydicky and 7 others 6

Ok. it was used regularly until mid 2018. Since parked up. I do more miles on a bike than in a car now. It needs a new battery and will need windscreen washers fixing for an MOT. The emissions were also on the limit in the last MOT so expect a possible sensor replacement. Else pretty good to go though the brakes are pants even after a rear pad and disk replacement. The mileage is under 90k and it has the 140 hp direct injection engine. You will get close to 40 mpg to the tank. It is more of a mini GT car rather than a sports car in feel. If anybody wants it for £150 them pm me and if you need a buy now, pay later option then I am good with that. The car is in Birmingham. Dollywobbler has a review of it on his YouTube channel.
