After lurking here for a short while, frankly liking what I see and enjoying the various shite, the site has well and truly struck a chord with me. I'm a serial buyer of ropey sub £1k vehicles, don't have to but genuinely enjoy it.
I feel like I might (Just might) have found my 'spiritual' home here
I've been posting across the web on owner specific forums (Usually using either my JoeyEunos or RandomPrecion handles) for a while now, but from here-on-in I will pull my threads together and merge them here into one ghastly topic.

Woke up this morning, had a little time before I had to leave the house for work, had a quick look at what’s new for sale on Retro Rides and saw an ad for a W124 200E manual, located 15 miles from home. I had no intention of buying a car today but I had to have it! I called the seller and arranged a viewing.
2 x rusty front wings (TADTS)
1 x rusty rear arch
Needs a polish
Tracking is out because new track rod end was fitted for MoT
Engine has oil leak/s
It’s a W124 200E!
5 speed manual transmission
Brand new MoT
Superb MoT history
4 x as new Continental tyres
Last owner for 15 years, her husband before that for 4 years
Very tidy MB-Tex interior
All electrics work
The dealer kindly delivered the car to my house but I managed a pez station shot on route:
Remove front wings, cut away rust and apply plenty of wob.
In-situ similar repair for rear arch
Clean and polish
Leave patina and enjoy the car as it is
I will update this thread once progress is made.
Hopefully these two will become good friends.
My Compact is up for sale again, MOT until November.
Manual, 2l turbo diesel, 165k miles.
I've replaced a load of stuff over the years, been meticulous with servicing. Brand new turbo, crank pulley, injectors, inlet seals, handbrake mech, vortex filter etc). It had a new BMW battery from dealer a couple of years ago. New black kidney grilles. New spare wheel, toolkit, books, wallet, first aid kit box etc
Swirl flaps in the inlet have been blanked. Has black M-sport alcantara interior, with bucket seats (fully adjustable) and leather bits. It's really clean inside and out. Cool fold out rear windows like old Japanese cars but they’re auto electric powered
17" E90 alloy wheels with four 5 month old Landsail tyres
Two keys, service/manuals, dealer keyring, etc.
The only things wrong with it:
the glow plug ECU is reporting a fault.
The front bumper is stone chipped.
It has always started first turn of the key in whatever weather in the four years I've had this, so I'm sure the glow plugs are working, but it's just giving an error. It has had this fault in INPA since I've had it.
It shifts quite well with 150bhp, I've managed 70 - 80mpg on a gentle run over 200 miles, but always get an average of 60mpg. There's no rust on the car, it's pretty mechanically sound I've done close to 70k miles in it I think. Only the crank pulley has failed on me in that time.
