andy18s
We did our best to find Chase a replacement, but apparently an ex Royal Mail LDV crew cab with the optional rear spec lift fitted didn't float his boat.......liking the Merc, does look good Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk Junkman and chaseracer

barmatt
It used £50 of BP ultimate stuff. Not worked out MPG. my w124 300ce of similar vintage averaged 25mpg. Don't think about the fuel too much, just enjoy the waftage. eddyramrod and chaseracer

doug
Well the grand plan was just to run this car over the winter and take it from there. DONT spend any money on it. DONT bugger about with it. Just run it.Well that plan lasted 12 hours. So yesterday I washed polished and gave it a hoover out. The old bus came up a treat. I noticed the clock, front interior lights were not working so started to investigate. Blown fuse was replaced only to blow again. After a big of digging I found the short behind the radio. On a roll now...the hazard light were not working also, so after a bit of searching on google traced it to the relay. Re-soldered a bad joint and all was well. Also found some silver paint in the garage,so touched up a couple of rusty bits on the arches. Not a good match but will do for now. Well chuffed with a days work. Off for a wee drive about now. Junkman
This is going to be another tale of a WBoD that's still in the fleet after three Winters, I bet. chaseracer
Lord Sterling
Oh how I miss my Merc. I did drive TVO, it felt a bit different to my Merc, but it's still a Merc and I loved it. Gutted (very) that I didn't win it, but hey ho.

HMC
That does look classy on your drive. It's got wheel covers ( in Benz speak) from a second facelift car (93ish on) but IIRC I remember seeing it on the 15 hole alloys these often had. Sudsprint
Lovely car - and looks muscular on those wheel trims chaseracer
chaseracer
It should have alloys and was so equipped when I got it from D.Wobblah, but they had been wrapped (by a previous owner) in an interesting* selection of PVC Wan King Ditchfinders. My plan was to get the alloys refurbed, so I had the new set of matching Avons mounted on steels - with the right wheel nuts - then realised I preferred the trims!
