reallyloud
That Autobianchi is an inspired spot. Never in a millions years, despite the interesting cars that seem to live in the sussex area, would have I expected such an usual and rare car to be lurking there. Spottedlaurel
Top work indeed! There was an Autobianchi panel van version of that (like the one Michiel posted) in the next village a couple of years back, pre-Spotted's Spottings days sadly so unphotographed. michiel
I only just noticed the bigger vans in the back in the top picture, must find out more 'bout those...
MrRegieRitmo
Who'd of thought that their warehouse would be based in Paris! Mind you they could have sited that logo on the side a bit better, it's not even square on the door!
Mr_Bo11ox
Once there was an Autobianchi on French eBay that looked like a slightly oversize Fiat 128 4-door saloon with square headlights, never seen one before or since, it was only about 300 euros too. Wish I'd bought it.

reallyloud
The Strada was originally badged Ritmo for the UK market - the launch brochure has Ritmo badged cars, but I guess by the time they imported them in numbers they'd renamed it Strada. I wonder why?
r.welfare
The urban legend is that 'Ritmo' was the name of a brand of sanitary towel in the UK at the time, hence they used 'Strada'. Not sure how true that was...

Not sure how true that was... I thought that was in the US, and be it that we always do what the Yanks do, they lumped us in with them? If not then why Strada also in America? Speaking of which this is how to make the 'acquired taste for some people' MkI Strada into an 'acquired taste for everyone'......sell it to the yanks!
