The house still stands outside the Life Centre.

Opposite my old boozer, The Dog and Parrot / Tut n Shive. Originally they wanted it knocked down along with the bus station but rightly got  told to FRO

Worswick Street bus station in 1976

Ahh..... The 'savoury lungfuls!'... 😵‍💫

The bus to South Shields left from there so, as a kid, Ma would go shopping and we would wait for the bus home. The stands were a 'herring bone' layout and you stood with your back to the next bus up the stalls.. so to speak.

The drivers left the engines on and we were smoked out, like kippers 🤪

..... the gudd auld dayzz 🙄
