tooSavvy
Folklore opines Binns negotiated a 'Shop at Binns' deal which involved bus repainting WITH signwriting. You will note none of this is stick on advertising. ..... aneehoo.... Seems just when the 'agreement' ended was unclear and bus painters kept the 'tradition' going virtually forever. Even the PTE yellow (complete restructure of the bus network) atlanteans had it. De reg seems to be the end.... Or the 'mask n splash' paint contractors used by them just blew them over lol chaseracer and Jim Bell

Shop at Binns should be the only advertising you're allowed on anything. tooSavvy, chaseracer, Skizzer and 1 other 2

chaseracer
Seven years later, when I was an idle student living in a shit upstairs flat in Benwell, there was a similar 911 always parked outside the bookies on the West Road. Worldcupwillie
More superb photos of Provi land, Jim. Brings back nostalgia and great memories of the region plus was fascinated to see the old photos of the shops in Washington in busier times as I was born just across the road in the Speculation Inn. Not one of them boarded up ! Jim Bell
