RichardK
Wow! That looks like an epic show, loads of variety. That's the first 'car show' thing I've seen that has made me wish I had gone. Good weather, diverse cars and outdoors, so much nicer than the lighting in the NEC, Lovely set of images, thanks!
RichardK
Oh, and X1 is like, a package of things. I forget the exact set, but X3 was the nearest the GSA ever got to a hot-hatch variant - things like spoilers, aux lighting, black trim and so forth. trigger
It's a great show, there's always plenty to see there, like this Fiesta 1.8 diesel powered Marina with some "interesting" interior modifications... RichardK
Is that really an airbag wheel in a Marina? Surely that's just asking for trouble, like the thing would blow up in your face as the steering wheel hit your chin.
They_all_do_that_sir
That Marina should be star of the show. It's great.
Formula Autos
Is that really an airbag wheel in a Marina? Surely that's just asking for trouble, like the thing would blow up in your face as the steering wheel hit your chin. Not just a Ford airbag wheel, but instrument cluster, column and stalk and five speed box all look like '90s Ford too. How odd. Needs gaffer tape on bumpers for full BL/Ford mash-up effect though.
mercrocker
Top posting! That does indeed look like it was a great show, remarkably free of gazebo and fluttery banner shit nonsense too.... Black thing with a sphinx on it is Armstrong Siddeley Whitley, c.1951. I said ooofff so many times looking at the pics Mrs Rocker thought I was choking. Good work! oldford
It was a great turn out. Did you see the red Talbot Solara that looked as though it hadn't moved in some time. It looks like my car got spotted out in the wild. RoadworkUK and trigger

seth
Hey now this is pretty freakin' cool. Realy 90's throwback look to it, shaved handles and trim, one piece windows, pastel paint etc. But with modern lowness and steels.

sierraman
WPU411S was ex Car Mechanics project in about 93-94. Peter Simpson had to replace the bonnet and boot lid after it was covered in tiny dents from the Great Storm of 1987 apparently. Remember it having to have had some major surgery on the C post. This might still be on this year but I'd be surprised, shame as its one of the biggest shows in the area and I'm a judge! On 8/17/2015 at 6:22 PM, oldford said: It was a great turn out. Poor oldford, he's passed away now and greatly missed but his Cortina is still in good hands with a good mate of his. RobT
