purplebargeken
Noddy was always a bit worrying on the kiddie fumbling front. I never liked the cut of his jib. The Ariel looks like something paratroopers would lob out of the plane and use to mobilise once on terra firma. Better pics please

John F
I once went to look at a "BSA 3-wheeler" advertised in a supermarket, expecting to see a sidecar combination... yep, it was one of these (I didn't buy it)
Richard
The advert for these was refreshingly honest, it said "Here it is, whatever it is". brickwall, purplebargeken, mouseflakes and 2 others

pbottomley
Well its been a couple of weeks, got the engine going then stripped it, then 75% rebuilt it and now I have started to repaint it... all in the wrong order but hey who cares...Here it is this afternoon on its old wheels, new wheels painted and ready for new tyres which are on order... pbottomley
Its been a while, one is nearly finished ( says he like anything is ever finished ) the other is sort of cobbled together now so i can move it around (as its always in the bloody way now) . Tested started the spare engine, runs like it should, smoke and noise.... IMG_3596 by paul.bottomley, on Flickr IMG_3597 by paul.bottomley, on Flickr Not a lot more to say, loads of bits to sort out, cable and wire a minefield of adjustments... but soon for the road (assuming the DVLA get it sorted for at least one). cort1977, Cavcraft, vulgalour and 7 others
cort1977
Love it, the only more dangerous looking contraption I can think of is one of those Raleigh Wisp mopeds based on a raleigh shopping bike.
vulgalour
I've only ever seen rusty crumbling examples of these before, it's really neat to see one actually being restored and in a colour other than blue. Top marks. I'd be so tempted to fit a 125cc engine to the spares bike, wider back wheels and generally turn it into even more of a three-wheeled suicide machine than it is as standard. Best of all you can't* fall off because it's got three wheels.
pbottomley
Did an aborted trial ride today, it managed 10 foot before fuel line failed LOL. I was chancing my arm TBH with two old line cobbled together with a bit of old brake line and two jubilee clips... BUT it did kick over and start to pull away just before i ran out of hard standing in the garden!I shall grab some fuel line, a filter and some correctly sized jubilee clips tomorrow and have another play soon. Front end only half built up, but one thing at a time. The plan for the other frame is a naked (no plastics or engine cover). 4 stroke suicide shift 90cc job... with bike racing handle bars and saddle.IMG_3599 by paul.bottomley, on Flickr Junkman
