The Chinese Garage, Beckenham.  One of the town's few interesting buildings.  Still exists and was part of a Kia and Peugeot dealership when we first moved locally but now closed and under threat of development by Tesco's.  The best bit is Grade 2 listed so will have to stay.

Also see the video of it in its heyday.  https://www.facebook.com/BromleyGloss/videos/the-chinese-garage-in-beckenham/1616003212016408/

Glad to hear the Chinese Garage is staying. Many moons ago (early-mid 90s) I had a girlfriend just round the corner in Elwill Way so know the garage well. I used to fill my 1966 Rover P5 up there quite often.

Our Pug 206 aka "the Peugeot of last resort" has dealer plates and rear window sticker from here. Was bought new by MrsDSdriver'sma.

The area was my stomping ground when growing up and the garage was a landmark even in the fifties, as was a bungalow either on that roundabout or the next junction along which had a big white dovecot in the garden.
