This outer sills was full of filler. I'm not entirely sure why they welded a patch next to it but decided to fill and fiberglass the section next to it.

The welding and fabrication could be better but overall I'm just happy to be making progress.

Went and took some "advert" pics earlier, not really sure if I want to sell or not. I might fire it onto car and classic at an inflated price and see if there's any interest... Looks good.

I reckon that’s still a bargain at your inflated price. If I hadn’t just bought a modern daily for a Glasgow commute i might have persuaded the boss we have drive space!

What's the plan for it @paulplom?

I've no idea. I saw it a while back and it brought back a lot of happy memories. I had a spare few quid after selling the transhit so I thought why not.

I'm going to be running around on it short term. No idea yet whether I'll sell it later or just garage it for the future.

Since you like these, I can recommend the youtube channel C90 adventures if you have not seen it.

  • DodgyBastard changed the title to FOAD's fleet - crusty Corolla estate

Screenshot_20220522-115400-105.thumb.png.16b5ed503c2bfde7991dce7cb1a28783.png

Corolla hasn't been delivered yet and with some cash burning a hole in my pocket I went to see this.

Volvo 480es 2.0 auto, took it for a spin and it drove fine, interior was a bit plasticy and rattled a lot.

it's advertised at £1250 but I didn't have the means to take it away so didn't buy it.

I am still thinking about it but not 100% sure I really want it...

The 504 appears to be leaking from the slave cylinder again, I replaced the cylinder and seals when I bought it but looks like I need to change the seal again.

Whilst underneath I spotted a crispy looking bit on the passenger floor.

I poked some more and some more bits fell off.

Now it needs the floor welded plus inner and outer sills...

Shite.
