The difficulty is finding the right person to fill the space.

What I'm offering is use of a 4 post ramp, a large workbench with vice, compressor, tyre machine, welding and cutting equipment including plasma.
There isn't a lot of room inside and no room to store cars but there's a few parking spaces outside.
I want somebody who just wants to make use of the space for their own projects, I don't really want anyone trying to run a business or having lots of random people showing up constantly etc.

Since im in Dunfermline that would be a steal, if I had a full on project that merited it.

That's a bit of a random first post, why not head on over to the new members thread and introduce yourself?
As for the unit space, it's now been spoken for by another forum member.

With both my KMX's passing their mot's the last thing I needed was another one but this appeared for sale in Dunfermline so thought it was worth a look.

A 1989 de-restricted KMX 125 in blue complete with v5 and registration number.  It hasn't been on the road for a number of years but with some fresh fuel chucked in and a few kicks it fired into life.

Plan is to do as little as possible and hopefully sell it on at a profit, if not I'll probably have to strip it down, paint it and make it a bit less shit looking.

After a week of receiving piss poor offers from the scum of the earth (off road bikes attract that sort) somebody came down from Aberdeen and paid the asking price. I did make a little bit of cash but not sure it was really worth the grief to be perfectly honest.

In other fleet news I've been using the Bini daily since I bought it and as much as I hate to admit it, it's been a brilliant car to just jump in and drive. The windscreen demists quite rapidly and unlike most of my other cars and I'm not having to scrape ice off the inside of the windscreen.

Usually when I've been driving the same car daily for a length of time I get fed up and want to use something else but I've been happily using the mini most days.

Both the Ranger and 205 went for mot's during the week and they both failed on brakes and bulbs, I think the 205 had a longer list but both should be back on the road shortly.

I'm starting to get a little bit bored with the cars I have so have chucked both the Stellars up for sale on Facebook to see if there's any interest, I don't think there was a high amount of interest on here last time around. I did have an offer of £1k on the blue one until the twat decided it was too far away.

I took the Mercedes out for a spin earlier, I hadn't driven it in a few weeks and the interior had become quite soggy from condensation dripping from the sunroof onto the drivers seat mostly.

I sold the blue Stellar this morning but had a little bit more interest in the gold one mainly because it was cheaper, I had a swap offer of a Carlton TD saloon and another offer of an Omega Mv6 Estate as well as various interest of buying it outright. I had a couple of timewasters including a 15 year old boy who was giving me a big sob story and asking my best price. I basically told him to get lost and he told me his mum was going to give him the money for it but since I'd been rude she would take her business elsewhere.

I had a couple of other twats asking about service history, previous keepers and asking daft questions and they clearly had no intention of buying it so they were also told to fuck off.

Today was the first time I've had it up on the ramp and after having a quick look underneath I'm thinking I should probably just get on with fixing it rather than getting rid.

Bullshit of the highest order.

Fair play for being so restrained.

The boys mum has been messaging me over the weekend, initially I thought she was genuine, seemed to be asking the right kinda question but when she offered £1k for it I thought it had to be a wind up. Her facebook has very little info on it but her sons has some bits and pieces and comments from her.

I'm trying to decide how to string them along...

Nor can I. Seems like someone’s a bit thin skinned.
What’s the mothers end goal with offering you a grand for the car? Presumably it’s not a genuine offer
I assume she's just going to string me along, make arrangements then not turn up, either that or she's coming to batter me for being rude to her son.
I've thought of something I could do to wind them up...

Know any supremely shady characters in deepest Lochgelly somewhere? The sort that will greet you in the front garden with a wean eating dug, and armed with baseball bat with a nail in it while his mates slash your tyres?

Accept their kind offer of a grand but give them Mr Scary's address and say the car's there.

Thanks for the heads up, I had through some fb stalking worked out their home address in Dreghorn, I had considered giving the address for collection as her home address because when I asked for her postcode she said G42 in the southside of Glasgow so if gave her the address in Dreghorn it would have wound her up somewhat. My other idea was to apologise to the son and tell him he could have it for £50 or something and tell her it was sold but I think maybe it isn't worth the grief...

Brilliant. Thanks for the quick reply. I'm looking for a Valentine's Day present for my husband who is into car restoration. Looks like exactly the kind of project he'd love. How long have you had this car, and how many owners has it had, do you know ?

Are you hoping for a divorce? Only kidding... I bought the car last year along with another stellar as a spares car but have just recently sold the other car. I didn't receive a v5 with the car so couldn't say how many previous keepers it's had.

Lol, he's already done up 1970's Corollas and Datsun's which were god awful to look at on my driveway so I'm used to it 😊 Keeps him out of my way lol. I've looked at the pics but as I won't be able to come and view it just now due to these travel restrictions, is there any way you could send me some more pics, or maybe just a quick video of a walk around the car ? I'd like to show them to my brother before I commit to buying it. He knows a lot more about cars than I do!! My brother has a car trailer he could use to pick it up for me, so getting it home wouldn't be a problem. Thanks a lot 😊

Hi, I'm out at the moment but will send some videos of it when I get home. The car is currently covered in snow/ice so I've moved it into the sunlight for it to thaw. I've done my best to video the bad bits and underneath.

That's the first time I've had the opportunity to get it up on a ramp since I bought it. The underside is surprisingly solid, I'm half tempted to keep it, fix it and use it as it really doesn't seem to need much for an mot.

Right, ok, well I suppose that probably makes it ok still, but if it's worth as much as that why is he only asking £995 for it then ?

Well I do know my husband would love it. His Dad had a Hyundai in the early 90's and I think my husband has fond memories of it. If we offered you a straight £1k would you be ok with that ?My brother reckons we wouldn't be able to collect it until the restrictions are lifted though, because he thinks he could be stopped travelling outwith his council area with a trailer, and fined. 🤷

£1k would be ideal, I do think it's highly unlikely your brother would be stopped or fined for transporting a car. I had a guy down here from Aberdeen on Friday buying a motorbike and another yesterday from Edinburgh buying a car.

Yes I watched it and sent it to my brother. Its obvs got a lot of rust but it's old, so I guess that's to be expected. My brother says you can't get body panels for these cars now but he reckons my husband would be able to sort these arches no bother.

I believe there's a vw van with readily available panels which share a very similar profile to the rear arches so could be chopped to fit the stellar. That would be my preference instead of making them from scratch with sheet metal.

That seems pretty reasonable I guess. Let me speak to my brother. I'll tell him you don't think he'll get stopped and I'll see what he says. If he's ok to collect it great, if not I can sort out a transporter. What day would suit you best for collection ?

I've just marked it as sold and have stopped corresponding, sounds like the kinda person that wouldn't react well to me saying "I know where you live!" So probably best just to ignore them.

In case anyone was wondering, her surname is different to her son's on facebook which is why I didn't cotton on sooner they were on the wind up.
