Are you going to take it back to the same mot tester? I bet he wouldn't expect to see that car ever again!  It's good that it look like a car again, I quite like the blue

It'll be going back to the same mot tester, it's the same place I take all of my cars and had previously mentioned to him the Chevette was hanging. Looking at the bigger picture, he has done me a favour by giving me a comprehensive list of stuff to work through and the end result will be a better and safer car. I feel like I'm having to constantly defend the tester from people saying he's an arsehole for failing it and I should have taken the car elsewhere. It was fucked, no mot tester would have passed it.

Good work on the shoveit. Several tickets when the time comes. They used to come in a really nice metallic bronze which I always thought suited them

When I had money to fritter away on cars most of the Chevettes I could find for sale were normally improved* with a Vauxhall red top or a Ford Pinto for Max PowerYo! Points (talking mid 1990s here)

Luckily the inner arch wasn't too rusty and only needed a small repair on the lip. Various off cuts from other panels were used to make the shape of the outer lip including a volvo 340 wheel arch and some sections of the old inner arch which was completely replaced on the other side.

Outer wheel arch fitted and weld ground flush, a small amount of filer required.

Ooft, what a honey. They buying some spares from you I guess?

Needs the lower spots angled out so you can see where you're going at night on the lanes while road rallying. Sideways, obvs.

The owner was just borrowing a part to tide him over until he can get one delivered in approximately 3 weeks.

My Lawnmowers starter died at the weekend which led to may different ways of trying to get it started like using a rope on the pulley as a pull start, or an impact gun on the crank bolt, neither worked so I gave in and bought another starter.

It arrived earlier so I fitted it and had another play, I have no idea why I find this little thing so much fun...;

Should have said I've got starters here and passed your way today too.

I've got a single cylinder diesel ride on here if you want to have some more fun using  less fuel

Ah well, it's done now. Tell me more about this diesel lawnmower... If you're ever up my way again feel free to drop by.
