messerschmitt owner
I'm hopefully not going to have the UMM in bits for long and I'd like to renew some of the nuts and bolts as I put her back together. I've all but run out of M8 and M10 stainless nuts and bolts and wonder if anyone knows of a decent online supplier of such items - not screwfix, who seem to have forgotten they were once a cheap supplier of nuts, bolts and screws and who seem to have become more expensive and supply such things in small quantities and not in big boxes, like they used to. forddeliveryboy
I simply look on ebay to get an idea of prices then google for five minutes. Often, ebay is reasonably price-competitive for these sort of things. At least they were a couple of years ago.

seth
At some point Screwfix just became a brand which is why I also can't be bothered going there any more. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-32126970 My most recent online purchase of Stainless fasteners was from this Ebay shop. http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Falcon-Workshop-Supplies cros

inconsistant
Clerkenwell Screws are good for most fixings, carry a good range and get stuff out quickly. Recommended. http://www.clerkenwellscrews.com/html/cw_categories.php?subid=92&cid=91 The bloke has quite an unpleasant telephone manner though, but it looks like you can order off their website now so you might have missed the chance to experience that. Maybe give them a call anyway?

messerschmitt owner
ta everyone. Having moved to the country, I don't use screwfix anymore as it isn't on the way home from work. I hadn't realised how utterly utterly crap they had become. You can't get boxes of things anymore, just small amounts at extortionate prices. brickwall
Aye. BnQ should have become more like Screwfix of a few years ago. I still use Toolstation, though.
Mr_Bo11ox
B&Q and screwfix are the same company are they not?
dollywobbler
B&Q and screwfix are the same company are they not? Yup. Only difference is product delivery. Screwfix is still like Argos, B&Q you still have to bloody walk around the store trying to find stuff that isn't in a logical place. BALLACHE.
