When I was a nipper I put a GB sticker that came free with an issue of Popular Motoring on the back of my go cart.

I'd love one of those rectangular GB stickers that Doyle had on his RS2000. I'm assuming that they were a Ford press car thing?

Unless I'm mistaken, I'm sure it was a BARC one as I used to have one of these on my bedroom door as a kid.

I'm after something different for my 205 - I want to get hold of one of those small period F plates that were in the shape of the country of France. I remember a time when most french reg'd cars had them (I grew up in Kent) and think it's look good on the back of the Pug. Can't find one though.

Anyone still interested in these old GB stickers?

I've got 2 ready to hit the printers. Its my first bash at something like this and the base photos i've managed to find are appalling quality so its taken hours to try and get each one into something even vaguely usable. The sizing is what it came out at to try and get the best oval match i.e. sticker oval to match the graphics oval.

If they work out i'm planning on doing a few more.

Very nice. Could these be printed from a photo on a specialist printer full sized on A4 complete with the peel-off back?

My plan is to have a few made as stickers.

My biggest concern is the quality. They look ok on my home printer but it’s only a very low end printer and the originals are awful.

I was on the herald of free enterprise. Not when it sank happily, but a few weeks earlier.

I bet after it sank anyone on a RORO ferry was at the front as they set sail making sure the doors were shut , what a cock up , did anyone go to prison over it.

The guy that fell asleep (Mark Stanley) who was supposed to be doing the front doors managed to dodge prosecution I think, of course he was the one to take the flack over a fundamentally flawed system where nobody cross checked anything. At the end of the day he’d made a mistake like we all do but unfortunately on this occasion the system was flawed enough that there wasn’t anyone cross checking each other. Sadly what you didn’t see in the newspapers was that when the accident happened he’d worked until he passed out trying to save people from the wreck, injuring himself in the process.
