once again many thanks to @Six-cylinder and @Mrs6C for hosting another awesome weekend :)

despite the intermittent heavy rain, it was a very productive weekend where a couple of the Vauxhalls where made to run and drive

have to admit now I have seen it in person I do like the look of the Cavalier :)

and I even managed to drag a few people in to fettle the CF on the last day, we got it turning over but ran out of time before we could get it to fire, im hoping next time we can do so :)

and this made for a fun comparison, 2 very different White estate cars :) was very cool to see the Mighty Dacia in person finally :)

Thanks for the cars @quicksilver! (I need to weed the front garden...)

You're very welcome, it's great to see them being enjoyed. Thanks to Mr and Mrs 6C for another excellent weekend and to @chaseracer for the mags. There were two great sources of entertainment - trying to get the Vauxhall collection going and coming up with increasingly absurd guesses of @Ghosty's new car. The Mondeo made its first public appearance and it was brilliant to see Bonk the Magic Wagon and the return of the Mighty Dacia. Even the weather wasn't as bad as I feared but it's still a good thing we brought the gazebo back on Friday as it was really needed.

Looks like a great weekend. Sadly I couldn’t make it as visiting my parents ( and x1/9) for the first time in two years. Found stuff in my bedroom I thought I’d lost!

we went out for an extremely nice dinner at Tyddyn llan , Llandrillo near Bala and Corwen. ( I do recommend it if you are in the area for a wedding anniversary type event ( mum and dad’s was 55 last weekend)), and I’m just home now.

As was done previously by Inspector Morose, the people of Autoshite often get overlooked for the photos of the cars.  So, here are some of them.  I wasn't sure if I was going to put any of these up, but I will.  If anyone wants one of them removed, just let me know.  I can see why some people might not necessarily want to be immortalised on a thread like this.

@Crackers, you complete SmegHead.  Time to see how clear images are from this camera:

Not bad actually.  Quite respectable for someone completely out of their depth and a 16 year old camera.  Speaking of which, any and all critique is welcomed.  As I mentioned to a couple of people at the Field.. I used to be quite good with an old manual SLR camera, but moving from Manual 35mm Film SLR to a "modern" DSLR is like moving from a 1968 Land-Rover SIIA into a 2005 Range-Rover.  It's all sort-of the same, but a lot more complex and it's taking me a while to understand what the camera is trying to do and hence adapt.

Subject to weather and world events.

Probably last for the season, although there can still be special projects

Who will check the parts I have for the Toledo and slap some paint on the rusty bits please.

bonus points if we can get it running/driving

because I have a driving test a couple days after on the 21st and so could really use the extra driving experience round the FoD LOL

(I know last time the Field was open for driving around, it really helped my confidence for the next few lessons :))

heres hoping the grass is cut and the weather allows it!

If it is and I'm there you can take my car out. You'll want experience of something with thick a pillars and large B pillar blind spots before your test. And my cars 20 years old, double the thickness and largeness of said blind spots for a 2020 test car!

What a snub!

I used the Sovereign S2 to visit Stoke Mandeville Hospital and in car park C it scans your reg on the way in, you type your reg into a machine before you leave and pay. Then the barrier will lift for you automatically.

The machine said "License Plate Not Found"

Maybe they've upgraded the ANPR to include LTBJSC* and it won't open anymore

*Likely To Be Jimmy Savilles Car (not casting aspersions about the current owner/driver but an early 80's plush motor in off white has a whiff of a bag of boiled sweets, puppies and duct tape in the boot).

I best I add, I was born in 1978 and my recollections of such cars are peak 'stranger danger' era :D
