Cracking!!! miss mt 4x4's .. but can't justify one now theres only me!!

forgot that yours would be a steel tank. I might have lobbed in a complete plastic tank from a 1990 onwards RR or any of the Disco 1s The pump sits inside and it doesnt have half of the pipes and stubs that will leak

Anyways there should be no issue with fuel as my Blue RR is off the road for the next week or so

(on a more serious note regarding winter, have Dolly and REV been covered up with anything? im just a little bit concerned about their wellbeing over the winter given that I dont think there entirely water tight LOL)

No paperwork back from the DVLA yet. I did wave at everyone in the building the other day when I passed it, but it didn't make any difference...

Car covering is on the list of jobs to do before the winter sets in, small blue three-wheelers included... :-)

I wouldn't worry too much as they're not that we'll sealed, water can get back out again.

Far worse in a normal car where any water getting in will tend to get trapped.

Any recommendations for obtaining a replacement starter motor for our VP1500?

The starter has always been a bit hit and miss and the problem was always the first start of the day. I have cleaned all the connections and replaced the body earth bolt, but still the starter was hit and miss. Now it has stopped working with smoke from the wire between the solenoid and motor. The "power in" post on the back of the motor is wobbly.

Thanks for that.

I was concerned what you said about the bolt holes not lining up making it difficult to do up the bolts so I have decided to have mine reconditioned and andyrew is helping me with that.

I noticed its a Wales & Edwards float, I come across them from time to time when searching for Invacar blocks via the DVLA checker

There are some people who claim that the MG Metro was not the best hot hatch ever built. However, we live in a kinder, more tolerant society and these poor individuals can now be treated in secure hospitals until they are ready to rejoin society.  The early MG Metros were close to perfect as a hot hatch and each person who says otherwise carries a small amount of blame for the Golf R. 

That looks absolutely smashing.

Trouble is I am still loose in society. Without guidance from Mrs6C I would still have my 114 SLi. You know the quiet one with a smooth revving 75 bhp engine and a 5 SPEED GEARBOX!
