I like my Cits. This is lovely and I have made my mind up that I want it.

Its fookin miles away from me in a place called Minster in Kent.

5 miles from the train station which works out at a £80 fare and 4 changes and 5 hours.

a mile from the airport which works out at £400 due to having to train it to Liverpool, fly to the IOM and then fly to Kent, oh and because of the flights is going to be 2 days.

Seller wants to deal in cash so I cant Shiply as I need to be there.

Fuxxake its the 21st Century I may as well go by pony and fuckin trap.

Just buy a f*cking ZX closer to home man.

There must be one nearer.

There is, theres one a few miles away in Westhoughton but it isnt as nice as this one. And this is the NA/D rather than the TD. I prefer the NA because Im strange like that.

No, looks like Im going to have to waste a day of my life training it to Kent then driving it home. Im off work the week after next so hopefully can arrange something then.

Dartford tunnel? WTF?

Jesus fookin wept.

What the fuck is it with Southerners and making life overly complex? I had to do battle yesterday with TFL's fookin Oystercard/contactless payment system. It was cheaper to buy the missus an Oyster than it was to buy a day ticket - I mean what teh fuck is that all about. Pink spots, yellow spots.

Still I'll give them their due, the Underground staff were very helpful and polite even to a fat Northern bastard who was clearly clueless. Ive had an Oyster for a few years since I went to a WHO conference and was pleasantly surprised to see there was still £20 of credit on it thanks to the NHS.

I don't know where exactly you are, but if you can hop over to Sheffield there's a car-share lift down to Dover next Thursday. You could get dropped off at Canterbury bus station and grab a peasant wagon to Minster.

It's not the cheapest ride down there at £19 but as a bonus you'll be cruising in a Ssangyong Rexton. SWISH.

EDIT - There's a ride from Sheffield to Dover on the 20th Feb for £8, but it's in an Astra.

we went to margate last year. what a dump.....

as well as liking rubbish old cars i've had a life long thing for trains, real ones and toy ones so as we were stopping with family before going on the london to brighton mini run, we had a look over to westward and the hornby/scalelxtrix visitors centre. a grand day out, and sad too since once 6000 people worked there....

broadstairs and ramsgate are nice though, an very posh.

I think Im going to have to declare myself OOOOT on this car.

Here it is if anyone else wants a stab, the seller has been very helpful with info and pictures. Doesnt appear rusty in any of the usual ZX spots and has only done 41K. The logistics of getting it are beating me, then the drive back. Already SWMBO is pulling that face that looks like she is sucking a lemon. There will be other ZX's nearer Im sure.

Sporty, Im sure yours is nice, but Im a bit like Beko & Vulgalor in that I'll end up spending ££££ making it mint again, and for now I CBA. Sorry. IF I was in the market for a WBOD then I'd be down the road like a shot but I already have an award winning shitter of doom.

I grew up in east Kent, which was a lovely place to be when I was a pup, but for reasons of employment, etc. I haven't lived there for almost 15 years. I find that when I do visit the area (very rarely nowadays) that the natives are a bit too 'local' for my tastes, including most of my family members
