wuvvum
The French versions were restricted to 5.4bhp to comply with the sans permis regulations. The UK versions are de-restricted and make around 11bhp. DVLA reckons it's pez though, which means 20bhp, 61mph flat out and 0-60 in 55.5 seconds (with just my skinny arse on board - probably slower with a fat bloke). Sigmund Fraud
I want a shot of a diesel one, it has all the refinement of a donkey engine. VEG friendly? Cement mixer engine FTW ! Apparently, you can shoehorn the three-cylinder version of the Lombardini engine into them as a performance* upgrade ! You can just about make out the CVT cones and belt in that video ! The DAF spirit lives on ! Lacquer Peel

wuvvum
My petrol one had done around 20K and the "gearbox" was fine on that. It was the carb that let it down. 300 quid isn't far off for a running and MOT'd one of these. They are a bit rubbish, but in an amusing kind of a way (as long as you don't have a crash).
