SECOND SUNDAY

 

I thought I'd start on the suspension arm as working underneath cars in winter is grand fun. Still not 100% sure how I'm going to tackle this, it might fill with weld.

Hadn't noticed this bit before, the pressure washer must have dislodged part of the NSR inner wheel arch.

I investigated with the angry grinder. hello carpet, hello interior trim!

I will have to rebuild part of the lip there before I weld new metal into the wheel arch. Lots more cleaning up and cutting up to be done yet.

 

 

 

Then started poking inside the car further up the NSR inner wheel arch, the seatbelt anchorage plate fell off.

 

 

 

 

Then I called it a day :)

 

Small steps will see this done

From the days when spec sheets had proper black dots. 

 

And moreover from a time when the base model had sod all equipment and was proud of it - the young exec in the photo couldn't care less that his new car doesn't come with a passenger seat as standard.
