It's an AMC Gremlin, not so unusual right?

But my tiny mind has been blown finding out that in 1977 you could get one with a 2.0 VW/Audi engine!

Yep, EA831, originally a Mercedes Benz developed engine from when they owned Auto Union. It went in the Audi 100, Porsche 924 and the VW Transporter, obvs.

A  3L version of the Seat Arosa! Brochures were printed, two  prototypes (green and silver) made, but the idea was cancelled.

The model that was developed in a market study intended to be sold in the Arosa II, and which never saw the light of day, was scheduled to be launched in the second quarter of 2000 but was ultimately never mass-produced.

Translated from a Spanish Seat fansite. I think they mean to say that the 3L was to be introduced with the arrival of the facelift.

I thought it meant 3 litre originally. That would have been fun in a tiny car.

My too what a disappointment.

I miss the days when the boot badge told you what the engine size was. Hasn’t been the case for years now of course and I’ve no idea what most badges mean anymore, but at least you knew what you were up against back then.

Oh, that was the update, earlier models were badged Granada Plus. Famously, they used a variation of the quartic wheel design for the radio antenna.

How have I never heard of this before? I thought I was abreast of automotive technology....

Well, at least until about 1996

Ah, yes - that was it! The SS1/Sabre was somewhere in the mix wasn't it?

I do. What the fuck is appealing about that?  Im not saying people have to like what I like or that it's got to be old styled. Just that it has to actually have some style.

It's different, not mainstream, I don't mind it either. Modern version of Suzuki X-90, sort of thing.

Is it sitting on 10 inch wheels, or is it 8 feet tall?

What about the Audi TT? Or, to give it it's Sunday name, the Audi Tyne-Tees.
