Bertone tried flogging that design to a few manufacturers, even Volvo.

I'd say there's bits of that in the Favorit coupe which made it as far as at least one working prototype but never full production.

As usual the drawings look a lot lower and sleeker than the final car. There are some other drawings knocking about somewhere for the normal hatchback where it looks much more like a BX than the finished article. I expect Škoda said to Bertone, yeah we like that but how can we make it cheaper. Then Bertone thought, well we've drawn it now let's flog it to Citroën (and try our luck with Volvo and Mazda). And I know you're thinking the Citroën predates the Škoda but it took a long time to convince the government (which I assume had to clear it with Moscow) to give them permission to build it. The first full size mock up of the final design was built by Bertone in 1983 so the drawings would have predated that.

I can't help but suspect photoshop shenanigans there.

The Sonnet is a very small car. Those doors on that wagon body would be comically tiny

I think it's a photoshop too.

The tops of the doors, door handles and windows look like they come from a GS Estate

The back is just as bad

I don't think it looks too bad, redesigning elements of the well-admired E Type would always be big shoes to fill but I think this "Italian-ised" look works quite well. I quite like it.

Found this in a 1996 auction catalogue:

AEL St. Phall. Googling that didn't unearth any recent pictures, but there is this ebay listing showing the front.

Okay, you've found one I didn't know about, well done! Doesn't seem to be much more information out there than what's in that catalogue description, but it does seem at least one more of his cars survived (and I now can't find the pictures of that)

The interior of the T-Babacar is filled with buttons on each side of the steering wheel for the electric opening of the single glass door, ventilation switches, of the air conditioner, etc. The Deawoo Matiz provided the majority of interior elements such as the steering wheel, the pedals, gear levers and handbrake.
