1962 Chevrolet Corvette, the final year for the C1 body.  Pity it's riding on a set of shit aftermarket wheels.

It looks like a mark one front with a Stingray rear tub.  Funny thing...

Missed that on my first look, good catch! I think it's just a trick of the light, makes it look more pronounced than it is. Here are some other pics of '61 C1's

I think it's probably fair to say the C2 body design was an evolution of this, at least at the back end.

Yes, the rear of the 1961-62 Corvette previewed the tail that would appear on the 1963 C2 Corvette Stingray.  This, in turn, was inspired by a couple of GM concept cars; the 1959 Stingray Racer Concept (codename XP-87) and the 1961 Mako Shark Concept (codename XP-755).  Both of these concepts previewed styling elements that went on to influence the rear of the final C1 Corvettes and the overall look of the 1963-67 C2 Corvettes.

Toyota Sienta. New version released the other day. I did not know about previous versions. They were not made for European Markets.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_Sienta  First gen looks interesting. Second one looks mehh. This third version looks like an overgrown Fiat Panda.

Do not have the sound on when viewing this. The music is horrible.

Renault Alliance and Encore.

I recently saw a clip of a race for a series called the Renault Cup at the old Riverside track in California, and on investigating what models they were, found this - https://www.drivingline.com/articles/renault-cup-racing-the-imsa-racing-series-time-forgot/

Renault 9s and 11s built by AMC as a replacement for the "Le Car" - I had no idea such a concept existed.

Hasn't @PhilA got the R9 version?

Had. Sold it but it was a strange concoction of being a R11 up to the back of the doors and a 9 there on back, creating what looked like a 2-door R9.

That was sold as the GTA. Hotchpotch mix of engine parts to make a 2.0 version of the 1.7; mated to a gearbox with 1.4 ratios.

They sold the 9 as the "Alliance" and the 11 as the "Encore", with the 21 sold as the "Eagle Premier".

Wasn't the 21 the "eagle medallion"?

With the premier being that sedan based on the 25

Since the Mini Countryman was launched in March 1960, a stronger (though not necessarily any more correct) argument could be made that Chevrolet copied BMC's design...

(But don't most van doors look like that?)

You’re over thinking things… It was a witty quip for cheap laughs, not a documentary on van design!
