Seat's version of the Polo estate.  Never knew this was a thing until earlier today.

It was actually the other way round. That's a Seat Cordoba Vario. The Cordoba was the saloon /estate version of the Ibiza. It was sold as a Polo estate, and I think saloon, as well. But different to the Polo hatch, being closer to the Golf in size. Son had one for a while. Really liked it. Paid 500 quid for it and had a hell of a lot of use out of it. Very economical too, with a 90hp1.9 Tdi engine.

Was also sold as a VW Caddy van possibly at the same time as they were sticking Caddy badges on Felicia pick ups. Saved them an awful lot of money having to develop their own small commercials, just pinch stuff from the sister brands and slap a VW badge on it. Not that that's anything new of course.

First LHD car I ever drove was one of those, badged as a VW. I tell a lie, it was the second. It was the first manual LHD car I ever drove though

The above two I knew about. The next two I didn't.

And then I found this. A very early development idea, I'm not sure if it's even a real car, probably just a mock up.

Landcrab sized but looks like a Mini.  I'd love to see this next a new Bini. I think they'd be almost identical.

That is actually an Austin 1100 estate tailgate on the 3 Litre. I don't know how it was kept open on the 1100 but I expect they used the same mechanism. The struts on the 1800 do look oversized but that must be a very heavy tailgate.

The Mini Cuntryman looks quite similar in my head...

The 1100 tailgate is by Crayford of Westerham. The frame is so flimsy and the ratchet stays so prone to sticking that a cracked rear window would have been a near inevitably.

This.

Not quite sure how Mrs Yoss couldn't get the whole thing in the picture but there we are. Apparently a DFSK Glory 580. An identikit SUV completely indistinguishable from all the others but probably not as good. I don't know this of course I'm just stereotyping judging by the standards of other Chinese cars.

Comes in five colours. Black, white, silver, grey and blue. So this is in fact the only colour.
