No not that recent, it was built in 1942 as a result of petrol rationing. Austat
Lancia Beta Hi-Fi. Front splitter, rear duck-fin spoiler, funky stripes, and it had an Australian-made Voxson sound system. Dam rare to find today as they sold as many as you'd expect (Under 1000 in 3 years), but I'd have one in my 'Garage of Fail' if I won the lotto (Next to the 'Iron Duke' Camaros)

There was a rash of diesel motorbikes a few years ago when NATO declared that they only wanted one fuel for their vehicles - diesel, for logistic and safety reasons. I believe the RE above was a result of their attempt to enter the lucrative military vehicle market. It had a Lombardini single, often found in cement mixers. The septics actually had a diesel motorbike in their armed forces, the HDT, which was based on Kawasaki KLR650 running gear and HDT's own (I think) engine - some details here - https://www.motorcyclespecs.co.za/bikes/HDT.htm As far as I can determine petrol powered motorbikes are still widely used within NATO forces.
