martc
Shamelessly knicked form the Bikeshite thread. Never seen or heard of this one before. It's a Honda Cub EZ90 but not the old grunter your slightly seedy uncle used to ride; that would have been a C90. The EZ90 was made between 1990 and 96; it was sold in the USA primarily aimed at the 'put it on the rack at the back of your motorhome market'. Your uncle the day before yesterday - c'mon son sit on the back an' 'old on. Aston Martin, LightBulbFun and face
Lanciaman
Can't get a copy of the pic but a 2008 panda 4x4. A standard one but with the diesel engine. Never knew they did these. Thought the diesel could only be had in the panda Cross. In the uk anyway. https://www.gumtree.com/p/fiat/fiat-panda-4x4-turbo-diesel/1380368585 Aston Martin
17-Coffees
This... It looks like a generic ‘special edition’ Mk3 Golf yes? Well it’s not, it has 0 cylinders. It’s an EV, limited run of next to bigger all, about 23hp and could just touch 60! Only found out as Grampian Transport Museum just got the example pictured! angle
Oh I like these. Apparently by the mid 90s Ford and Volkswagen were struggling for market share in Brazil so they teamed up to use each others strengths. A sort of Arna / Cherry Europe situation. Which is why you can get a Volkswagen Apollo. Yeah, it's an Orion. Or how about a VW Pointer or Logus? Using the very latest in European technology, ie Mk5 Escort underpinnings. Ford went bigger - the Versailles and the Royale were Santana based. Amishtat, w00dy, LightBulbFun and 4 others
GeordieInExile
Those are so weird. Why didn't they just use their own IP instead of swapping...? I'm reminded of the VW Hillman Hunter from Brazil. Which I'd really like one of.

If anyone still has Max Power mags one came up for sale in the back once From Wikipedia: Although heavily based in the second generation of the European Ford Orion, it has a unique body style, being a two-door sedan with a higher rear design and horizontal tail lights. The two cars are also mechanically different, and while the Orion was only available in the four-door body style, the Verona was only available with two doors. It lacked some features available in the Orion, for example the folding rear seats, to reduce production costs. Apparently either available with a 1.6 litre Ford engine based on the Renault Cleon-Fonte, or a 1.8 VW engine. It replaced the extremely shite looking Ford Del Rey, which appears to be a Cortina / Renault 12 mashup:

sheffcortinacentre
At least one of the factory 2 Dr Orion's survives in Ireland as a rwd rally car ( manta running gear I believe).now belongs to the son (fiesta wrc driver) of original driver, there's some YouTube footage of it. I'm sure there was a pic of the boxer Barry Maguigan driving one in a rally ( possibly circuit of Ireland) in the mid 80's it was a MK1. Love this sorta stuff. Was lead to believe the Delray was Renault 12 based, whereas the Apollo/Verona was MK4 escort based.

17-Coffees
I’ve taken a shine to Hybrids and EV’s over the last few years, so to carry in from the CityStormer Golf the other day I bring you this... The Cadillac ELR! It’s a essentially a coupe of the Chevy Volt/Vauxhall’s Ampera. It sold rather badly with shy of 3000 sold in 3 years.
