That business with the rear windows is really bizarre!

I wonder if the glass is the furthest back point on the car, i.e. the screen protrudes beyond the bumper an inch or so. Otherwise, I can only surmise that both cars have been reversed hard up against uneven walls...

Is it a 'new' Fiat Croma?

We have a winner!

This was the only one on the island when written off following only a few months in use as a taxi... that sticker on the wing reads "licensed to carry 4 passengers".

I believe the owner has since replaced it with another!

EDIT:

What may I redeem my winners points for?

A set of those wheeltrims I think.

Herald convertable "unapealing"? Looks bloody superb to me!

What's wrong with your brain, man!Enormous wingback buckets look ridiculous & and are totally unneccessary.Modern, horrible '100+' wheels. What looks suspiciously like 'Mica blue' aka wanker blue paintwork as seen on every council estate Impreza.Just really not a good look. Compare & contrast with Seths one, which whilst being scruffy looks 1000x cooler, as all the modifications looks spot-on and 'period'. God is in the detail as they say. As an aside, I look forward to recieving my wheeltrims prize.

I grant you the seats are perhaps not the best choice, but all the rest I still love! Sorry, we'll just have to agree to differ- good job we don't all like the same thing!! Oh, and I do like Seth's too, but they're not mutually exclusive, it is possible to appreciate different treatmets of the same thing.

I derive much amusement from the fact that the door fit looks so far off the surrounding panels, it's practically possible to get into the car without actually opening it. With the hood up. And the windows closed. But maybe Harolds are all like that.

Being this board's number one number plate pedant, can I also take this opportunity to vent my disgust at the combination of modern post-2001 font with the "vintage" pre 70s silver-on-black format. Yuck.

The same silver-on black numberplate treachery happened to me when I ordered a set. I expected a nice old style font but instead I got the new font which looks pap. Better than those Comic Sans Serif numperplates that used to adorn many a chavved up motor in the late 90's.Most pictures I see of Heralds sho panel gaps you need a map to measure.

Probably the last ever spots post from Mk2_Craig. Some junk from recent times, I will share with you my thoughts when clapping eyes on these fine vehicles, rarely anything worth getting excitable about except perhaps the odd mk2 Fiesta.

Rare to see a VW panel van as opposed to a camper. Worth a pic despite the crap livery. Bonus French future-shite in the background. *click*

Better photograph that Escort with the bust headlamp as it looks like it's been parked up for a while and it'll be off to get KUBED at this rate. *click*

Posted Image

Uninteresting kit-type toss, no idea what it is but what the hey. *click*

Posted Image

ooh looky, a Tempra SW, where did they all suddenly disappear off to. *click*

Posted Image

Hey is that an old Volvo? *click* Ah it's not an old Volvo. Never mind, I'll post it on Autoshite and someone'll tell me what it is

Posted Image

Looks like it might be next stop scrappy for this one. I wonder if someone's going to transfer off that number plate first *click*

Posted Image

Me likey Paris Blue. *click*

Posted Image

I'm sure I saw this somewhere a few days back *click*

Posted Image

Hm, thought they got rid of all these yonks ago *click* wonder where their yard is and if they've got any more sitting idle.

Posted Image

A 205 Gentry, that must be unusual. *click*

Posted Image

Three old Landies. Mildly interesting? *click*

Posted Image

Fuggin hell, don't think that'll be driving anywhere again. *click*

Posted Image

Mossy. *click*

mmmm, esss-court, uhhh (dribbles) *click* *click*

Why probably the last ever spots? you finding it increasingly difficult to find shite or are you moving on like the dog in the littlest hobo? That esser estate was for sale for about 300 notes, it was advertised as 'suitable for tradesmen to use' which in english means if your a painter and decorator why bother buying a van when you can throw paint all over the inside of this unusual beauty.

Well due to the combination of Lycos closing down their "completely free forever" e-mail service next Sunday and a monumental frig-up in changing my Autoshite e-mail address details (to one that probably doesn't exist) mk2_craig as an identity will no longer be active and I'll use this one instead, I'm going nowhere and theres still shite to be spotted over here so rest assured I'll keep the photos coming and add to this thread when I can despite the risk of it being titled "New Year Yad" forever unless the mods can adjust this for us.

In the meantime thanks for the comments, 'keef' of course you can use the photos, theres an estate version a bit further back in the thread too, let me know if you want the higher-resolution originals (+ I think I've found contact details for the guy with the ADO hoard near Nottingham during a big e-mail sort-through). Cheggers/'andrew e' I'm told it's a Bristol 410, hope to get a better shot in the future. Heep I hope you didn't take a whole day unless it was at work, unfortunately I did rather overload the thread with photos earlier on which can take ages to materialise on screen sometimes and because I settled down to a more sensible 10-20 pics per post I have still got a substantial amount from last year to upload although many are dullish junk like mk4 Escorts etc.

As for the double-spots... perhaps because of the crap scrapyard arrangement here, people tend to buy an identical car to keep theirs going. Done it myself a couple of times. Or maybe pure coincidence, who knows!
