Ropey Saab 900s can still be had for old-banger money (ie scrap value plus a bit), and they're so well-built that they can often be resurrected even when they look shit. I have one such vehicle, but on that one there really is a lot of work to get it right. If you're willing to sink a bit more into it, you could try the uksaabs forum, which is where I got mine. Mr Livered Posted June 24, 2014 Share Posted June 24, 2014 Well that's mid-range budget for one of these: you can afford something better than a scrapper, but maybe not a top-spec, mint-condition 900 like the sort of thing you might find from an enthusiasts' forum. On Ebay at the moment there's a floppytop 900 Turbo, K reg, starting bid £850 so it'll be at the top of your budget but looks ace if convertibles are your thing. (ebay tat thread page 1858).
