Said to be Wigan.

Methinks possibly not...... Wm. Younger were a  south London brewer and in the 1960s brewing was a regional, even local business, so the idea of a Younger's pub being that far "oop north" seems odd. In addition "BL" registrations belonged to Reading, further suggesting a "London" connection.

Of course, I could be totally wrong....

Rush hour 1963

Car queue. Taillight after taillight. Renault 4CV and Renault Dauphine, Hillmann Super Minx, Simca 1000, Triumph Herald and Fiat 600. On Roskildevej a busy day in the early 1960s. It is one of Politiken's great photographers who has stepped out of his own vehicle and captured this snapshot of rush hour traffic. Tage Christensen joined Politiken in 1927, first as an assistant to Denmark's first newspaper photographer, Holger Damgaard, but he quickly got his own photo assignments and became known for being able to create classic images of even the smallest things and incidents in everyday life. Tage Christensen was at Politiken until his death in 1978. And by the way: In 1963, when the picture was taken, there were 605,486 passenger cars in Denmark. 112,979 new driving licenses were issued and the most sold car was a VW 1200.
