An interesting thing here. That box in front of the rear wheel, there are probably 2, one on each side and these contained sand or similar for help in winter on slippery roads. If I remember correctly, these could be activated from the driver's seat, so if the wheels started to spin, the driver could easily get sand on the wheels and gain traction. This was probably very necessary on a 4x2 truck with 2 trailers.

Wonder how you get the Viva and the row of cars next to it out? Wait until the others have left.

Apart from a Volvo Amazon (?) not a foreign car in sight - and not a hatchback.

Compared to what was happening in Europe most of these old dinosaurs were on borrowed time once imports took off and people could buy the kind of cars they wanted rather than what they were given by out of touch British manufacturers. Photo is 1967 given the HB Vivas, new Minx, Escort and Cortina 2  shown.
