rml2345
Excellent pics chaps, particularly the early racers. To drive what appears to be a bed frame on wheels with a huge engine and appalling brakes at full chat must have taken balls of solid steel. forddeliveryboy
Mildred Mary Bruce was a descendant of one of Cromwell's high-ups, who went on to become Sec of State for to Henry VIII, Edward VI, Mary I and Elizabeth I. Worth reading her wikipedia page - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Hon_Mrs_Victor_Bruce. She came 6th in the 1927 Monte Carlo and having set off from John o'Groats, drove for 72 hours without a rest. That was only the start of a fairly epic drive. She also made the record books with powerboats and aircraft - http://www.britishpathe.com/video/to-fly-round-the-world-alone vulgalour

Junkman
Why are a so many of the cars rhd when they seem to come from lhd countries? Because they wanted to build them this way.Honestly, this is the correct answer. No other reason.Note that even in America many cars until the early 20s were RHD.High-end Italian and French cars were RHD until well into the 50s.
