Inflation calculator shows £1 in 1939 = about £65 now.

Let's hope a few survive. The Rolls's20200202_143026.jpg.2ed2231feba9a05ae081ea2b072c126b.jpgpossibly - the Phantom 2 top right is magnificent. It is similar to this one which is 2 years later. Sold in the states for £85,000 and then again in the UK I think.

Rolls are pretty much documented so possible to trace. Standard and Wolseley probably not - the Morgan, Aston Martin, Bentley and Frazer-Nash might as they were all enthusiasts cars and raced etc. 

Oh for a time machine tow truck.
