Cavcraft
Might be better trying to advertise this 'properly', so here goes. 1987 Peugeot 205 1.1GL, four speed, five door hatchback.MOT 7th JulyTaxed November (probably end of November, possibly the start)Only two reg'd owners.Great runner, ace on fuel and, dare I say, it's SNAZZY.136k.Has what I assume is the original (God awful) 'stereo' but it gets Radio 5 Live, or one of those channels. Despite being a GL the spec is pretty dire and you can forget anything like central locking, power steering or any of that bollocks. It's got charm by the bucket load. The body work has myriad dents, the o/s/r 'arch meets sill' area will want a tickle with a welder or some canny filler. The gear stick disintegrated so has truly horrible modern one fitted. The interior has done an eighties Talbot thing, by which I mean the sun's rays have NON NOM NOMD all the fabric.Paintwork flatter than my chances of a bunk up with Cameron Diaz. Sadly, and rather predictably, it was another whim buy that isn't getting used so should go to someone who will look after it. It really shouldn't be changed though imho, it's appeal is it's current unloved looking state, it really does appear as if it was found on a French peasant's drive and honestly is all the better for it.No wild promises of unending reliability and never having to spend money on it, it's an old French car and as such will almost certainly behave like an old French car. or a new one, come to that. £225, sorry no offers, there's a right old chunk of tax on it included so I think it's very fairly priced. If one of the longer term members of this forum wants it I will listen to suggestions of take now, pay later. I'd go pretty RADIO RENTAL if it gets destroyed, weighed in or raced though, so please bear that in mind. It's in Chester, Cheshire. I'd really prefer collection as for this price I can't really be arsed driving miles away and getting a train or lift home, but I'll listen to sensible suggestions and I'm more than happy to pick up from the railway station. michael t, Lacquer Peel and Angrydicky
Cavcraft
As a bonus, the picture of the rear wheel arch that contains a shadow that looks like I'm being attacked by a suction dent puller wielding snake as I try to inject it with a hypodermic needle is FREE. wuvvum
A lot of the early 205s (and 309s) seem to have been that colour. They must have stopped doing it later as before this one I'd never seen anything later than a D plate in that shade. It's amazing how badly it Pogweasels for such a light colour - I don't think I've ever seen a shiny one. I suppose that must be one of the last of the "early" 205s. Does it have the uppy-downy-slidey heater controls?
KruJoe
I imagine Lord and Lady Wobbler would quite enjoy this. It even has the correct number plate.
wackywacerwill
Pure class. Having already in my possession one small French car I don't really need I'm out though for someone with a metal gluer who is handy with the cardboard aided design that should do them a good turn. What's going on with the sticker/paint on its batty?
vulgalour
I find this vehicle highly desirable but I am out because I do not need it and if I did buy it I'd ruin it by polishing the bajeezus out of it and generally trying to make it look nice. Cavcraft
/\It'd be better to polish it then to see it weighed in or something! Will, it had had (before my time with it) a GB sticker on the boot which had peeled off.

Angrydicky
This looks awesome. Wish I had a use for it! Have suggested it to SISTA_DICK but she'll almost certainly turn her nose up at it. Cavcraft
scooters
Superb runabouts these. I had one 10 years ago and used to use it to pick up fire wood. Like many psa cars whilst bits come off in your hand the important parts are tough as old boots almost as if there is the old load a sheep and a hen and 100wt of spuds in it and drive over unmetaled roads to market design principle at work. Doctormop
If any Northerly based prospective purchaser of this fine machine needs temporary off road storage I have a 205 sized gap on my driveway 5 miles from J33 of the M6. I could maybe help with collection if needs be as I really really want to drive this car for reasons I can not fathom, it just looks so right.(Unfortunately I have no use for it and a bank account that would make a church mouse look like John D Rockerfeller) Cavcraft
dollywobbler
I imagine Lord and Lady Wobbler would quite enjoy this. It even has the correct number plate. You are entirely right, of course. Too much temptation out there at the moment. It helps (me and my marriage) that my desire to pee is thwarted by a lack of suitable container though. Also, it'd have to mean saying goodbye to the Sirion as 'token small car' and I'm not ready to do that yet. I'm looking at it out of the window now. It's just hilarious! Cavcraft
Don't forget my take now, regret pay later scheme applies here to regular shiters. I'd also (if I really had to) consider a trade for a really good quality (eg Trek, Giant, Specialized, Cannondale, Wilier, Bianchi) cycle, ideally a road bike. jonny69
Barg. Except the answer is a clear no from her. How do you fancy a Peugeot 205, dear? No, we've already got a Peugeot. Yes, but this one is much shitter than yours, have a look... Didn't go down well. And then she rumbled me posting this, so now I've got to empty the dishwasher instead of her. Thanks a lot Billy. bones96

Mr_Bo11ox
This car reminds me of when I went with my grandad to pick up his new 205 XLD from JCT600 in Bradford, same colour, trim, dashboard and whatnot. A life changing event for a 11 year old. HMC and michael t

stilo_active
Despite getting the horn for such a beaten old varicose vein coloured, suitcase engined old Peugeot, I've just shown this to Domesitc Management. Her words: "you just fucking sold one of these two months ago and you want another one? You want to sell your working car and get this?"My response: "No, I want to sell your car and get this" She didn't dignify with a response, though as I'm feeling light headed I fear she may have added something to my cup of tea...
