dugong
I hate my skin complaint. Any chance of a 'Shitefest Redux' in the next month or two so folks who didn't \ couldn't make it could get a flavour of the roads travelled on?I was rather looking forward to hearing the Charade's farty roar off the rock faces in Ceredigion. Unfortunately the swollen mess of skin I carry around with me had other ideas. To give you an idea of what happened (and to gauge my frustration) on Friday I drove back the 152 miles from Peebo to Manchester to get the Charade on the Saturday morning and ended up spending 3 hours waiting to be seen in Altrincham A&E. Got prescribed some nuclear wugmup atrocity cream that sorted things out to a fair extent, so at least I could walk without feeling like I was going to be sliced in two. By the time I'd finished there wasn't much point in me coming over. I was covering the Beaulieu spring autojumble for work and needed to get there as soon as possible because of the distance involved, so a late start was daft. Trouble was, I said I'd take retrogeezer so we could save on a bit of fuel, so I knackered his day up as well. Managed to potter over to Wetley Rocks in Staffs instead. RG had gone there while my phone was off in A&E so I decided to join him. Quite a neat little show, and we both got to sit in a Matra Bagheera S, so it wasn't all bad. The traffic was unspeakably crap trying to get to Beaulieu the next day and I ended up turning down the wrong entrance to the exhibitor's field and unofficially green-laning the Qashqai I'd been given. That it wasn't completely useless down the track and didn't get stuck was probably the biggest surprise of all, although its axle articulation and ground clearance wouldn't be suitable for an off road day. Whinge over. Roll on another summer meet \ autumn show \ SF '15 I suppose.....
dollywobbler
The 2CV lives in the village that the event was held. It hasn't lived in a city since 2004, when I moved in with Mrs DW.

M'coli
Yet again, a wonderful event! I enjoyed myself immensely, met a lovely bunch of people, and enjoyed some spectaular scenery, especially on the way home via the Elan valley. Here are a few of my photos from my ancient camera - I'll post up a few more from the 'phone when I get the cable. Philbusmo's wonderful little white hen gets going A man with the world at his feet. rml2345
After much buggering about, I finally managed to get my photies on Flickr. Most of this has been covered anyway, so I'll link the gallery and share some favourites. https://www.flickr.com/photos/rml2345/sets/72157644338971558/ Spotting this was a great start to the trip. Many Volvos. Cadillac. I liked this but felt a bit wrong for doing so. It even looks good. The boot of Trigger's Acclaim caused a stir. The shonky Lancia of WIN. The future of the past. Autoshite makes fire. Joe's Rover and Will's Samara with ingenious cladding to turn it into a sort of bunker. Contrasting Rovers. Having met my hero on the left, I feel obliged to own a P6 at some point in the near future. 504s are HUGE and very comfortable. I understand now the appeal of MK3 Cavs. Bloody good cars. The Samara of much hoonage. Excellent fun! Autoshite at the seaside. Natty Coles Speedcrane gate guardian cum useful tool. I don't recommend being near as all your ears will explode. Delightful one pot Gardner felt like it could run forever. Two stroke MK3 Fiesta that had many hot under the collar. Ian and the Stellar The little Kia Pride was a delightful drive. Mustang and outit. Nice. The generosity of Autoshiters knows no bounds. Thanks chaps! M'coli, cms206, Conrad D. Conelrad and 9 others

Bucketeer
Great pics Alex. I especially like the fire and 2cv shot! Did you get any shots of my crazy 2CV hooning? Unfortunately the only shot I got was too blurry due to EXTREME SPEED. My ears are still ringing from the sound of tyre torture though and I'm sure the other ramblers assembled at the top of the hill are still recovering from the shock.
