Ratdat
Hidden car in bushes: DS safari? It is indeed! From what I could see the back window was missing but it didn't look to bad otherwise. The SM engined one sounded superb as he pulled out of the services. It's amazingly well done. There's a little bit of footage of it on .

Ratdat
Wowsers! Haven't seen an Ebro for ages now. How long did it look like that one had been off the road? Got a registration for it please? It was at a local place that sell used camper vans. They were in the process of doing it up to flog it. Sorry, it didn't have any reg plates on it when I saw it so I don't know the reg but it will no doubt appear for sale on their forecourt fairly soon so I'll pop back and check. CortinaDave
Some more old crud seen recently...   Yankee Ford Probe...reckon these looks much nicer that UK ones... All Probes were built in the US.. that one is a gen 1 though which we didn't get here.. we only got the gen 2 because there was spare capacity on the line in Michigan and Ford UK wanted a Capri replacement but had no budget for one. Ratdat
I remembered I had a spotting thread so I've been up and rummaged about in the Autoshite attic and found it. Bit of a scrub up and it's good as new so now I can post some freshly papped automotive detritus. These are from last weekends trip to fetch the Cherry from catsinthewelder... A brown Alfasud in the wild!!   And check out this! A Datsun Kingcab with under 30k on the clock! The owner wants an astonomical amount of money for it (like 5 figures ) Still cool to see tho...   On the way home we spied this floppytop TR7 getting soggy footwells in the services... anonymous user, vulgalour, RobT and 6 others
Skizzer
Gosh.  Brilliant to have some of the old spotters and their threads back, quality spottings of properly old and rare stuff has always been one of AS's best features IMHO. I think I recognise the Alfasud:  I believe it (or an identical one, can't recall the reg) belonged/belongs to a chap I used to know back in the late 90s.  IIRC he elbowed in on a girl I was quite keen on, the cad.  Just the sort of behaviour you'd expect from someone with a metallic brown Sud Ti.  Annoyingly likeable bloke though. trigger and Bucketeer
Jon
I just had a great nostalgia trip looking back at this thread, which is a fine example of the kind of stuff I used to enjoy when I first joined. Glad you've updated it after a mere six and a half year rest.
trigger
God, a Kingcab! My uncle Kim had one around 1989ish in red with some orange stripes and chrome bars with KC lights, it was the bollocks and reminded of the Full Guy truck.
Spottedlaurel
Bonus points on the Kingcab for being the early model with side windows in the rear. I think it was an HMRC thing that meant they got blanked-off on later models. And look where we are now with all those extended/double-cab pickups.....
