ebay 'BARGAINS'

I believe this was at the London to Brighton Mini run that I went to earlier in the year. I was in my father in laws Riley Elf which was on the line up of 50 cars marking the 50th anniversary, This mini was also there representing 1968. £30k does seem far too steep for it though!!

It's got quite a history though.

EDIT:

Here you go:

6 (from the left) in 1 down is that mini.

1 (from the right) in 1 down is my father in laws Elf. It's a 1965 one. I'm sat in the passenger seat. :)

One reason for the price may be that there are only a couple of minis in orignal police trim/with police history as they were all shagged by the end! I only knew of one until I saw this one!

m0rris

That's kinda identical even down to the OKD reg to one that was exported to America a few years back...

They are different. The wheelarch protrusion is larger on the RS/Mexico. I had a pair of these about 20 years ago, sold for close on 200 quid with scabby bits on, genuine brand new old stock. Rescued from a demoiltion of an old garage....they were about to be squashed by falling masonry after a structural failure. Woohoo...paid for an overdrive!

On a Mk1, yeah. On a Mk2, they're exactly the same.

Ex-plod V70 is an appealing idea, but what the hells going on with the price of this one?http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2002-VOLVO-V70-T5 ... 0372836861For comparison, the rest of the 5-0 selection:http://desc.shop.ebay.co.uk/i.html?_nkw ... 800&_rdc=1

What on earth, why? I wonder if the thickies are going mental bidding on it because of the seller mentioning some 'special' tax band. Here's a much nicer, newer one for half the pricehttp://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2005-VOLVO-V70-SE ... 0414856085

Curiously, DVLA have it down as a diesel (Heavy Oil) is that not an offence to have incorrect registration details on record? Should the Yorkshire forces be concerned? The vehicle details for YX02 EVU are: Date of Liability 01 01 2010 Date of First Registration 01 06 2002 Year of Manufacture 2002 Cylinder Capacity (cc) 2319CC CO2 Emissions Not Available Fuel Type Heavy Oil Export Marker Not Applicable Vehicle Status Licence Not Due Vehicle Colour WHITE Vehicle Type Approval null The information contained on this page is correct at the time of enquiry. Vehicle Excise Duty Rate for vehicle 6 Months Rate £104.50 12 Months Rate £190.00

also please note that this car falls into the old style of tax band of 1300 or above as the police do not keep CO2 records of the car for tax purposes it could not be classed into the new extortionate tax bands

Nothing special there, it just doesn't have the CO2 Emissions registered with the DVLA when new, just like plenty of other cars. Police Service vehicles are tax free anyway.
