Guest
Hmm, not sure if that Nova is a 'real deal' special, not seen one before. It does look like a Sport with a wide arched kit on it to be honest. The Sport is a rare and quite sought after car these days, if that is a proper job of some sort then it'd be worth a nice sum, but probably not that much. If it's 'just' a Sport with some cockhead bodykit then it's not worth much. FWIW though I reckon that's mega fit and I'd defo roll round in that. I likes it too. Useless bit of info - I was talking to Brian Ashley of Ashley Exhausts years ago and he made me a Sport back box for my Nova SR as they made the original ones for the proper Nova Sport which was I seem to recall was a 1.3SR with a pair of side draughts and spotlights (?). Anyways, he told me Vauxhall were setting up the original prototype and it blew the exhaust off, the power shot up so they went to him for a back box. The only colour powdercoat he had enough of to make the order of back boxes quick time was blue so all the original Nova Sport back boxes were blue. I have slept since that conversation so it may all be beau locks! Nonetheless I love the brown tartan interior of the first 1.3SR
Joseph
Here's a wee cheat, for which I am sorry. It isn't from eBay: Yes it's nice, but how much? http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C227575
Guest
I really like that Escort estate. I think if I was going to have a Mk2, that's what it would look like. I'd rip the Binto out and put an Mi16 in there though. Just to annoy the rally jacket mong 'fakkin zetec' crew. Amongst other things it'd lighten the nose by about 700,000 lb. Twin 40 Webers and god knows what else. I think the exhaust manifold and cams were beefed up. It seemed to be a standard shell with SR suspension, seats and dials. The rest seemed very 'Merit' spec. And IIRC the original back box on these from the factory were red?
Cavcraft
Still regret not buying a Sport years back from some shitty garage in Connahs Quay. I thought it was some sort of home made/boy racer job so back heeled the deal I was offered for it.Ditto a Nova Fly(?) convertable I was offered on the cheap. Sod it, I'm going to have to buy a Nova this year, hopefully an early mingebag spec 3 door hatch as I can't afford an SR or GTE/GSi
brickwall
More from Purple Bell-end. this seems more apt, perhaps. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MUCK-SPREADER ... 2325df61c5

Guest
Just looked a Plurple Hose's Nov again.... I am sure those clocks aren't even SR/GTE, on those there's speedo and rev left and right and in the middle by oil pressure, temp, fuel and charge. They don't look like that or is it me? And Sports were all early early Novas as in 1.3SR based.
brickwall
I just googled muck spreaders and it does appear to be good value. Muck's on me then.

Even some of the lowly diesels came with one. Think it's probably a Merit with an engine transplant...
Guest
I'm intrigued by Pusfull Hose. They've bought loads of girly shit like jackets and moisturiser but the vehicular stuff, it seriously looks like they are on a scam or are just dumb and won the lottery recently. Yamaha FSIE bought for £620. Now up for £2495!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mazda 626 bought for £840. Now up for £2495!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. In-fucking-credible. Cavcraft
Fuck me, he's getting worse! That Fizzy isn't even an early/collectable one, the Chingalong So Happy Axe Murderer Madness Wing Wang Hong Kong Chopperbong moped is more than they cost new (plus they are TRULY fucking awful things) and the Lambretta Li is close to three times what it's actually worth and very close to what you could get an SX or TV for. *Edit: Nova details are: registered 18/05/1989 and engine size is 1598cc, so it's not a Sport. Best guess is a home made special.
Ben_L
One of Purple Pricks recent purchases... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/121019872060 £250 of shite costume jewellery. How long before it's strewn over the parcel shelf of a K11 Micra, listed as a "Ready to go upmarket rival to F-Hinds" with a price of "£9995, which is nothing for a business ready to float on the stock market"
Guest
Cavette - I didn't even look enough to see it was a Wingwangmonkeespankysuckyfuki and yes, the Li125, hmmmmmmmmmmm hardly a roadburner and I wouldn't be shocked if it was a Lucknow Curryburner SIL jobbie! As for the Nova - it has plastic checkerplate floor mats. Enuf sed. Now this FS1E is £2.5k and worth it http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Yamaha-FS1e-1 ... 2326a54a01 they befuddle me, someone who'd want one of them would surely know what's worth a jot or not. Lord Sterling
Just checked the plate of the Purple Knob Nova special on the RAC data check site, it came up as a 'Nova L' which I suspect is a pretty basic spec Nova.

Ben_L
This is going in Bargains, simply because it's a £500 car up for a bag, less £100 for a "Sale Event". http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Austin-Rover-Maestro-1-6-Automatic-Classic-Useable-Cheap-Car-B-Reg-SALE-ON-/190762494608?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item2c6a54aa90 Straight and Original So, the paint is peeling off and one mirror is black, one is chrome... To me, that doesn't demand top money. I offered £500 which I thought was generous and got turned down, naturally.
Skizzer
Hardcore shiter spec: steel wheels and non-metallic brown. Crap photos, no mention of MOT, condition or history. £3k . PX Swap JetskiFuck off. (Like Sam Glover, I'm doing my tax return this morning which obviously involves a lot of looking at shit old cars on the internet.) Maestro prices are still very low. I sold my fairly tidy, low mileage one for £300 with tax and test.
RedSparrow
^^ WHS. £250 is more like it. If you offered me £500 for that I'd take your hand off.Sexy motor though.
willswitchengage
Flat tyre and that "just stolen" look of a missing radio and lots of wires hanging underneath the steering column. Nice, diesel and a long MOT... but a bit much at a bag of sand. Maybe I'll make an offer...
Ben_L
Much as I love old Senators, this is a bit rich. That's tasty... A real beaut... But I think it's going to take some time for people to forget the fact that they weren't selling 18 months ago for more than the £300 s/p due to the rise in fuel costs. Stunning cars though... Cheap ones bought by OMFGIAMTOKYODRIFTKINGVTECJUSTKIKEDINYO crowd... Nice ones horrendously overpriced. £2k more than a Scorpio of the same era. Mr_Bo11ox
Decent ones are a brilliant car though, 100 times better than a scorpio. I think these things are sufficiently good that people will pay strong money for a good one, if not yet then very soon.
Pete-M
I liked the one I sold to Andy CMS. Still amusingly quick. Mustard mitt, I'm scanning the classifieds far too often for a facelift Bugeye Scorpio 24v Ultima Estate.
Pete-M
Like this one, which just scrapes into 'BARGAIN' territory. My saloon one (on an R) cost me £250 three or four years ago. Borderline really. They drive a lot better than they look.
AXrescuer
Now....this will probably divide opinion....Moar photos would have been a good idea; there's only three, the others are of the dash and the seats. If it's been done properly...it could be worth the £7995...oh, it's purplehorse1990 It does say in the advert: If you simply want to come and have a look at our range of cars for sale call in anytime for a cuppa and a chat.
