That's a strange one. No digital MOT, and records began in about 2005. But the tax only ran out on Monday!

Misery-spec Maestro in doom blue, £3bags.

Customer: "Where's the rear wiper switch?"

Salesman: "I'm sorry sir, there is no rear wiper on this model."

Customer: "That's a shame. Where is the clock?"

Salesman: "I can offer you this Casio digital watch for £9.99."

Vauxhall Nova Antibes 'in exercise condition and standard apartment for the SR alloys'.

I didn't realise that these came in grey.

This is a bit of a strange one.  I have one brochure that covers this model which says it was only available in three colours but doesn't specify which three!  There's another brochure on Flickr that clearly says that Carmine Red, White and Steel Grey were the colour options.  Yet there seem to be several blue ones out there.

Perhaps the grey colour was unpopular and was replaced, or supplemented, by blue.

Typical Vauxhall

Mini 1275GT for more money than any other on ebay atm, but with all sorts of silly stuff going on such as the graphics, wrong seats, wrong steering wheel, blacked out chrome all over the place, wheel spats it doesn't need, body colour subframes... I could go on or am I just too fussy?

It's very tidily restored but too much chintz and colour coded tat stuck on that it doesn't need. All that's missing is a vinyl printed MINI on the boot in some modern font like comic sans.

Not quite so glamorous in close up.

Also were Minis really made like this? No wonder they fell to bits after a couple of salty winters.

Great guy Issigonis - but really?

We had a Mini in the 60's - subframe fell off and my Grandad had a huge row with the garage.

25k...

Very much so, unless you’re actually planning to drop 25 grand on it. What does it matter to you?

It doesn't matter in the slightest to me you are right, however it wouldn't be much of a thread if no one commented on this sort of thing. The point being there are some much more original looking and tidy 1275GTs on ebay at the moment for about £5k less.

But why should it matter to you, commenting on an overpriced car on a thread that was made for commenting on overpriced cars, on a forum about  generally underpriced cars. 🤣

My least favourite ad of 2021 and it's a "meer" £4k. This feels like it was written by estate agents.

Let's start with dealership ad bingo:

Un-molested

Supplied By Wayside Vw St Albans To Doctor Jeremy Luke In April 2004

Built When Cars Did What They Said On The Tin !!!

This Car Is Not Concourse, Nor A Garage Queen
