In The Pit
Some lovely spots there mate, thanks for posting. I watched Bronson recently and that made me realise how much better looking the earlier Marinas are than the last of the liners. Yeah I like the colour coded grilles on early Marinas, that shade of red really suits a Marina.
keef
Yes Keef. Thanks Seth. I've actually started one on Photobucket, so you can add your own. http://photobucket.com/ado16 Flickr seems easier to add to groups, but as a lot of you still use Photobucket ....... http://www.flickr.com/groups/ad016/
michiel
That Mayflower! I want one... That 1100 countryman/traveller (?)! I want one...
55bloke
Looks like a good selection of cars - especially love the Corsair! Looks like it's got Lotus steelies on, and maybe lowered?
seth
Thanks all. I wasn't solely photographing the shite, there just wasn't much else! 55bloke, yes the Corvair was all OSF'd up

Captain Mainwaring
Yeah, the Mayflower is truly shite. Never have I seen such an awkwardly styled car.
Spottedlaurel
Great selection of stuff. I think the chap who runs Power & Performance up this way is/was working on a Kapitan. I have the badge off one, found it in Medler's scrapyard 10-odd years ago. Don't recall seeing the car itself though, could have still been there but there was so much rusty and odd stuff it would have been difficult to tell. Gompo
That Corsair looks good in my opinion, the front end on 'em looks tough yet they seem to be overlooked. I suppose they're not exactly popular.. Cheers, Greg.
55bloke
Strange isn't it, that they're not in the same league as the Mk 1 Cortina, with which I believe they shared so many parts. Don't think they look as good, so obviously image is everything!
seth
A mini update. Perhaps this should have been in the number plate thread? Looking up here I was expecting to see an SD1. Got a bonus though! Five Star Honda. Just a week after trailing a Borgward.... A typical suburban street in London. With a Tatra. Mmmm Aircooled V8 alert! Sump gr8 for easy oil changes. I loved the look of this, parked at the end of a line of regular city scooters and bikes on High Holborn.

seth
Michel, don't know. Not a number plate style I'm familiar with. I took some photos at the Ace at last nights Classic meet for the first time in a couple of months. The weather was good during the day which probably helped get quite a respectable turnout for a Feb do.
pogweasel
Lovely. Really ought to get my arse down to this. That fiat (?) Looks super, and the triumph 2000 - do the wide tr6 wheels hint at moar surprises beneath?

seth
Nice shots - is LYXetc a Monteverdi?? I just don't know what else it might be... Yes! One of three in the country I was told. Pog, the Fiat was lovely. You should indeed come down, pick a pleasant summer's evening for most worthiness of the journey though.

Guest
That Isabella coupe has a South African plate on it so chances are it'll be RHD. Nice shots - is LYXetc a Monteverdi?? worldofceri
That's a brilliant selection of cars at that meet. I really ought to get my arse down to the Ace Cafe one of these days. Although I can barely afford petrol to get me to the end of the road.
seth
A new batch. I see! This is hardly any better.. These next two were almost opposite each other. Busy road makes for a dirty car. Worth recording these bridges as I seem to remember hearing a couple of years ago that Ferodo were no longer going to keep the adverts maintained. This is beige. You'll have to trust me on that. 2! Park Lane. DS beats Porsche. BMW beats all but bike. Pog may know this one? I was taken on a late night hunt in North London by Mr Matt Jones who uesd to live round the corner from this. It is taxed. I'll try and get back in the light to have a better look. Halfords car park. I think this has been deposited in this driveway to make an empty house look occupied. And two very non-shite spots from today, the weather obviously bringing out the shiny stuff.
pogweasel
I am not sure I do know the pre-war thing Seth, can't say I can 100% confirm the location. 1930's (ex)council stock like that is found in pretty much every village within 10 miles of here(and highly prized) - all I know is there are none like that in poggleswade itself... trigger
Worth recording these bridges as I seem to remember hearing a couple of years ago that Ferodo were no longer going to keep the adverts maintained. There's one of these bridges still about down Norwich Road here in Ipswich. http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&q=n ... 87,,0,1.

seth
Pog, it was on the way down to Keith's though I doubt you go that way often. A quick update! Clock and Watch fair today so there's always something interesting in the car park but I think the weather made todays haul a bit of a bonanza. This was my favourite. Caught this in the traffic outside. Police had closed the road so I did a U-turn and this was stuck a little way back. Tonight I went to pick up an Ebay purchase. I'd never me the seller before but turned out he was a CO-OC stalwart and could tell me my Oxfords reg no! This is his current daily though he also has a smart 16/60 that was parked elsewhere. Also owned a Hunter his dad bought new in '73 but I didn't see that either. His area was a rich seam that requires further investigation. These two were just from driving round the block to get back towards home. The remainder are all off Mrs_Seth's phone. a couple may have been up before but I can't remember. The Covent Garden Oxford. And she spotted this this afternoon. Guess the marque!

brammy777
Some good spots there, that Marina is buff. Also, that Skoda takes the biscut for obscure London wrecks, I bet it sounds utterly terrible/lovely.
