I don't want to be shot for being OMG OFF TOPIC but I've always rather liked the Antars, which are along a similar (ish) vein and were used as tank movers by quite a few armies.

They were made by Thorneycroft trucks from the late 40's.

 

Didn't the British Army use Antars for a long time? 

Apparently the Crane 200 ton capacity double bogie trailer from that video weighs 80 tons on it's own  :shock:

I posted this in the Truck Shite thread a while back but I guess it would now fit in here ok.

I worked for Blundells and they used this picture on the company calendar,circa 1964/65,i never got to drive either of them as I worked in the parts department,plus I didn't have an HGV licence then.

Not my picture but might be at the event I saw it a few years ago, BA Stores Vintage Working Werkend.

It's full of old tractors ploughing, stationary engines and old commercial vehicles.
