Citreon BX for sale

Right I really can't afford having two cars right now, so it's the BX's turn now for the flogosphere.

1990something Citroen BX 19TXD

Basics:

124,000 miles

Tax until end of July

It's getting MOTd next week which should extend its ticket until the end of June 2014. It had only one advisory on last year's (steering column flexi coupling slightly deteriorated) so shouldn't be too pricey, I will update asap when I have an update on next year's advisories.

History:

I bought this from another BXclub member in February. The car has one dealer plate and the original dealer sticker, and I believe had spent most of its life in London. As a downside I think it's spent most of its life parked under a tree in sunny weather, more on that later. It has a small history file, I have compiled this into the following list:

22/1/07 89400 service, new fanbelt

1/8/07 89928 new front brake pads, oil feed back pipe

16/7/08 94372 new front spheres

18/12/08 96122 oil & filter

20/5/09 97816 new timing belt, water pump & coolant

30/7/09 99837 NSF driveshaft gaiter

22/7/10 103469 oil & filter, hp pump belt

9/11/10 105664 new handbrake cables

29/6/11 106708 new front suspension return pipes

21/1/13 120682 new clutch & gearbox oil

22/2/13 121520 new pressure regulator & lhm

2/3/13 121640 oil & filter

28/3/13 122737 new exhaust back box

7/4/13 123494 new fanbelt

Free stuff that I'm throwing in because I'm nice:

+ Thule roofbars

+ A spare key

Known faults:

+ Roof is completely devoid of lacquer and the spoiler is beginning to peel

+ No radio. I can however use mine to demonstrate that it works. As you can see from the pictures, I am an ICE spaz and couldn't get the head unit to fit either. Lol, head

+ The boot is tatty and I had to remove the carpet as it was gross (parcel shelf included but not pictured, it's in the shed (by shed I don't mean the car))

+ LHM and engine oil is leaking from under "the hood". Fortunately however I've never had to top it up.

+ There are small scratches and dents dotting the bodywork although you can't really tell from the pictures

+ The rear demist doesn't work as I'm bored of trying to sellotape the contacts back on

+ There's probably more if I can remember

+ Oh and the anoraks will notice it has TZD wheeltrims not the TXD ones - OMG

+ Trip counter doesn't work

+ 50% of the glovebox hinges are broken, and it's the wrong colour

+ Has one of those shitty Cobra alarms installed but I think it's been disabled (have keys and user manual though)

Good bits:

+ Being an XUD, the driveline works perfectly

+ The hydraulic system works fine (in that it actually works unlike my old BX)

+ No rust at all in "the usual places" (door frames & rear sills). I'm not sure where else to look

+ Other than the boot, the interior is very presentable

+ Working sunroof!!!11

Location:

Five minutes walk from Reading West railway station.

Pricing structure:

I'm looking for £500 but it'll probably end up on ebay before long to let the idiots decide.
