That Crystal Blue is gorgeous. Seems odd that red was so rare given how prevalent it was at the time. Doesn't really suit the Cossie though.

6 months too early for me to consider offering £500.... although it's value is probably closer to £1000.

...in that order for me. Any other colour would be a compromise but I still would if it was the right price and condition.

My dad bought a E reg maritime blue Escort 1.3 L Estate from Trimoco Chelmsford around 1991 time, I remember looking at all the new Sapphires in the showroom at the time. A little useless fact there for you.

sambas spec wise the ghia is the next one down from cosworth due to the heated windscreen, 4x electric windows, graphic info module with warning lights, footwell and map lights, electric sunroof these are features the gls didn't get,

 

I prefer the look of the gls to the ghia though

cool I love snippets of history, I bought the saph off an old boy from Chelmsford who worked at trimoco as a salesman, he sold the sapphire when it was brand new to his son, then when the car was a few years old and his son wanted a new car so the old boy bought it from him then had many happy years motoring until his daughter insisted that he gets a modern car, when we went to get the car we had a brew and a great chat with the old boy about old fords, I felt guilty driving it away as he had a lump in his throat to see it go

One of my neighbours has a Sierra Cosworth, not the Sapphire though but the earlier 2 door hatchback. Its white. He hardly ever uses it so it's done something like thirty thousand miles or so. I seem to think he got it new, though I could have imagined that. He has certainly had it a very long time.

I did have a Trimoco keyring that I collected that day in my bedroom for many years as i used it for the key in my bureau where i hit my porn mags, God knows what happened to it.

Edd, mate, you're doing yourself no favours at all with this thread. It's not a good for a guy in your condition. I can imagine that semi you're nursing swelling to a throbbing mega-horn... just keep it in your pants for now, lad! If you spunk that compo on one of these (nice as they are and all that), you'll never be in the black again.

SRSLY, trust me, I've been there and made these mistakes, you know I'm talking sense and mean well.

I'm quite ready to cut down the fleet considerably. But, I will retain a level head.

 

A few things will sway this, if I get a buyer for Samba and IF this cossie is solid enough then I may buy it.

 

MG will be going, Polly may go to you brother if he wants it as we're getting the green one. Jimp still coming, style will have gone, cabrio will be up for grabs. 125P may go if we can a. get it decent enough to be worth keeping for someone else, or b, someone on RR wants it as a project.

 

Be keeping the Roller, the Monza the Cossie, the jimp aqnd the XR..

 

I dont think I've forgot any, I'll still be after a Tagora and a Samba S.
