LostnotFound
We all know biking can be a tad too exciting some times, so it's always good to combine it with the opposite end of the spectrum to keep you level. martc
This MV Agusta Mini Bike Racing was an official model offered by the MV in the mid-1970s. A one-off special was made for Phil Read’s son in 1973 to celebrate his 500cc World Championship victory. Here is Phil Read sitting on the bike playfully begging two officers let him off with no ticket. Minimad5, LightBulbFun and Bfg
twosmoke300
Uh oh ! Looks like The old Thundercat might be up for sale soon . I barely ride on the road these days and fancied something a bit sharper and more modern .
Jazoli
An R6, that has been tracked? I'd be very careful, they have chocolate gearboxes and can feel very tired very quickly, looks nice enough but it will fail noise testing with the stubby can the PC is mapped for, which means it'll probably be running lean on the standard can, they are great to ride though and I have done many a lap on one. twosmoke300
Its from a chap I know locally and was adamant its all ok gearbox wise . Hes done about 5 novice days on it and bought it as a standard road bike so im hoping all is ok . Certainly a bit sharper to ride than the old 'cat i would imagine. The micron thats on it passes 102 db tests . Im quite tempted to take the pc off and put the std pipe back on though as I cant be arsed with noise test hassle. doug
The BMW I bought "only needed a clutch pushrod bearing". The clutch was noisy till you pulled the clutch in. I stripped it down and replaced it. As well as the pushrod which was in 2 bits. All parts cheap enough. Put it all back together and the noise was still there. Stripped it all back down and opened up the gearbox, lots of ball bearings and teeth fell out. Bought a replacement gearbox. Put it all back together and the noise was away. Went to road test it and it would not rev over 2000 revs. Bought replacement injectors and that fixed that. Sick to death of it by this time went to put it on Gumtree and the advert was rejected as it was registered as stolen. Oh how we laughed. Sir Chocolate Teapot
I could not resist. After having sold last bike last year , moving back from Italy and now skint. My sister works for BMW, they have a short lease system for family . 5 month contract 4000 miles. I can't say the price but we are talking very cheap tax & insurance included. After living in Italy I have become a fan ! BMW c400 X At least I have fully legal transport now. Heated seat ! Underseat storage is not great, uses Flexi system which drops down when parked. Not great for carrying stuff on move, ok for crash helmets when parked. Needs a top box, shame I can't get one on the scheme. Goes well ( 350 cc 34hp) for UK speed limits. 80 mpg at 70mph. Brakes very good, twin front disks. 0 to 50 plenty quick enough. Cruises at 75 no problem. Main problem is, tomorrow want to go to London for a visit, how long will it last parked in Islington ? They_all_do_that_sir
Well....after consideration I felt the Enfield would be something she would grow out of fairly quickly. As a second bike just for me I'm sure it would be grand, but I'd probably wish I'd bought a second hand bullet for a more authentic experience. So I've went and bought a bike we both like, but she doesn't know yet. It's a bike I fancied when it was launched, but wouldn't have bought just for me. It has a low seat height and she loves the looks. All will be revealed next week when I collect it....Sent from my Pixel 4 XL using TapatalkDawned on me I never did update this post on here, so without further ado:I've been putting some miles on it since I collected it, and have to say it's bloody good fun. If it was down to me I'd have a louder pipe and a smaller plate pronto. But Mrs thinks it sounds fine as is. Shame as that OEM exhaust isn't pretty.....Sent from my Pixel 4 XL using Tapatalk Fat_Pirate and LostnotFound
